I've looked at Bounceback several times, but I cannot commit. I want an MP STepper/Ricochet at some point in time, but I think I can wait for an official one. Something doesn't seem right with Bounceback, haven't really liked him at all.
I am with Cobo on the waiting train. I want Streaker with how cool he is and so Swiper can have his brother in some form at last, but I want to wait to see if we get a new head. Or if enough of him is in stock for him to go on sale eventually.

Life.
Man, I would kill for some time off right now. I'm so tired. And I can easily do it, it's a new year and I've got 4 weeks of available holiday time. But I'm still in the buy season and there's money to be made, and there's those goals of mine. *sigh*
Also, I can't believe the things I'm passing on lately, and downright ignoring. I'm really looking hard at FT's MP Omega Supreme, and if he were half the price I wouldn't even blink at it. But I gotta show restraint. Him, and Cosmo Dia Battles have been givin me the struggles.
I've done good though. Last random things I bought were the FP Diaclone Dino's. Which were actually on my short list of "buy no matter what". My last eBay purchase was Dec 11th. And I barely even look at it anymore. I have saved searches, something like 70, and over half of them get dings every day. And each ding can be anywhere from 1-200 actual listings. I'd check it 3-4 times a day. Lately? I'm lucky to check it twice a week.

Sounds like your priorities and new attitude are shaping things up nicely, Shaj. It's so easy to get caught up in a hunt for different bots and other goodies that sometimes it's good to take a break or slow it down.
After obtaining Pretender Vehicle Roadgrabber, I've pretty much ended my PretenderQuest. If I ever run across Bludgeon for a deal, I'll bite, but no other Pretenders shall be hunted!
As you know I'm on a Beast hunt now, but it's nothing like hunting the Pretenders. The list is shorter and the figures are newer....although Beast Wars Neo is getting a bit spendy. I may settle down and just go with what's on the shelves -- especially once Big Black Convoy is obtained.
I know it's also hard to getaway from work sometimes, but treat yo'self with a long weekend or something!

I'm actually really starting to feel you. I cancelled several things over the past few months I preodered ages ago, and funny enough, I'm not even hunting that hard for the new PtoP stuff that hasn't come out. I''m feeling really relaxed with it actually.
I think part of the reason is my new girlfriend. She's very different from the ex, and she's someone I have genuinely enjoyed spending so much time with. I feel so relaxed and open with her, and she's almost acting like a calming experience for my transformers buying habits: she's helping me slow them down, even though she isn't trying to at all, just by being someone that expands my horizon.
I'm not sure if you have something like that, but I wanted to say it after reading your thoughts, and Va'als recent ones too.

I hear you. My finances have been way too low to keep my collection going, and time is going to be a stretch in the near future due to my boyfriend and I moving and going back to school later this year. In my experiences, slowing down the collection makes the newer additions more meaningful and memorable. I'm glad things are looking brighter for you!

Y'know I really should. I think I have an on-call coming up, so that'll be a good 15-20 days straight. Making a long weekend up before then might be a good ideabodrock wrote:I know it's also hard to getaway from work sometimes, but treat yo'self with a long weekend or something!

I'm sticking with my "still buy new stuff" plan, but I have been cancelling most of the other stuff I have on pre-order that are non-TF. Sometimes life dictates, and collecting can always slow down and go on hold. That's something I'm learning. I bought tons of things because of THEM DEALZ, but since I started abstaining I realized that there will always be other chances. Hell, even my plan "buy the new ones now" isn't even necessary. I'ma keep at it, but if I had to I feel like I could even put that on hold. Feels... I dunno... empowering?

You know one thing I've been kinda bummed about lately? The lack of packages in the mail. Which is odd. because on one hand it's exciting, but on the other hand in a way it's also stressful. Because I'm not in the position to display them as I'd like, and don't really have anywhere for them to go. So they're just added to "the pile".
Revelation Part 2: doing stuff
I find it difficult to do real, and positive things, for myself. Home upkeep is one of those things. The thought of those things is exhausting. But trust me, I've been watching a lot of hoarding shows, and I'm nowhere near living in those kind of conditions
Oddly enough, you know what I CAN do? Work. For some reason I can work 14 hours a day for ridiculous stretches. So a lot of that money is going to be going towards home improvements, but I'ma be paying other to do that stuff. I'm totally capable, but I'm not a DIY type. Probably my most hated DIY project would be drywall. Man I hate drywall'ing

Bludgeon is absolutely the One, Shaj!
It would be hilarious to see Soundblaster pull some slow-mo, action-movie, stylish moves! I've considered dabbling in making mini, stop-motion style movies with our TFs....but there's not nearly enough time in the day/week/month lol.
And I totally wish I was motivated to DIY. When I do an actual household project, it really feels great -- but I'd rather be doing so much else with my downtime. Like make memes.
I'm just happy I can do the occasional photo shoot, even if it's just with my $h1t cellphone.
And that's probably why it's been the most frustrating to bargain-hunt for him. I could get him if I'm willing to pay MP prices....but I'm still on the Hunt!

Ooh! I can't wait to see more Cogman -- I've given up on the domestic release, but have considered importing.
I was able to hunt down Thunderwing & Roadblock for great deals, Shaj! They're two of my faves, and two Pretenders who would not translate so well as Prime Masters.....so I'll hold my breath for an MP of Bludgeon or Thunderwing.

That was actually how things happened for us. We both were in our first long term relationship, and while she wasn't engaged, the guy said she was the one he wanted to marry. And then we both got broken up with on the same weekend (geez, July sucked!). We both had several month long slump where things just weren't good, and then we both resolved that we would just focus on us and wait for another relationship to just happen, not even really try.
Well, she goes to the same university I did, and we've known each other for 2 and a half years. She's 2 years behind me. I visited band camp one day (we both did band) and then I visited with her and 2 of her friends for a while, as we are all fairly close. After I left, the one friend told her that she and I should go on a date, and continued to say that for months. Come Thanksgiving, we start talking a bit more. I then went down for the one's 21st birthday and had dinner and hung out with them, and asked the other 2 friends if this girl had ever said anything to them about me. Well, they interpreted it wrong, and then when they were all talking later after I had left and they all had alcohol, she got upset when they told her their wrong interpretation. and then, as a result, we admitted our feelings for each other, and then went out on our first date to see Star Wars and have dinner the week before Christmas.
And since then, we have seen each other lots. We officially started dating back on the 11th, and for both of us, it is such a strange thing that happened. We both swore off relationships and focus on our lives, but then we ended up gravitating towards each other. And for both of us, it is a far different (in a good way) relationship than our previous ones. We enjoy each other far more than the things we actually do. And we both are much happier than in our previous relationships, which says a lot really. For both of us, it feels so right.
And for both of us, there is a saying: Things happen for a reason. And things certainly happened, and they appear to have happened for that good reason.
Sorry to derail your thread, just wanted to tell a story that hopefully has some advice there for ya

Back on topic: nice Cogman! If the crotch on mine hadn't broken, I really would love him more. But he is still fantastic.

This thing on?
I bin busy as usual. I got some things, did some things.
Like this:

Just for this:

So's I could do this

I then gave the Eva figure to a buddy of mine.
These came in mid last week:

Haven't opened any of them yet.
Then....
I stumbled upon these....

I tell ya, I didn't even want to leave the glass case to go get a clerk
And I'm sure said clerk thought I was a scalper, but last Christmas my gifts were pretty weak (see the last few months of my life to find out why lol) so that's essentially what these are. One for me, one for my sister and 5 year old niece Dia, and one for my two other nieces (late teens/early 20's who'r gamers). The young'n, I mostly just wanted to see what she'd think of the games, as all she's ever experienced so far is touch screen games. She liked it! It was fun.

I love the SNES Classic, Shaj! So good. And that haul! GODLY.
Eva Prime should have come with the Spear of Longinus -- it looks perfect in his hands. To be honest, the Evas are the only other bots I love besides our Transformers. I may have to hunt Eva Prime someday.

I don't know anything about the EVA stuff, but I love that color scheme. Been wanting this KO odd-ball for a while now.

Or the regular flavor or the Nemesis flavor. That mold just calls out to me.
I spotted 5 SNESC at Target the other day. I wanted to tell the world, but I don't know of a game sightings page like we have here for toys.

Re: Shaki Jaki's Toy Shack

pic's a link of course
I'm not familiar enough to list the differences, but I think it's overall improved QC and some superficial mold/deco changes, but dayum!

Thanks about the sig, I have a shirt to match - sorry no pics handy.
