Star Wars Transformers. Worth a venture into?

I've just recently came into a fresh set of quite alot of cash, and I really don't know what I'm going to spend it on TF-wise. I've already got the new Mini-con 12 pack, and some Universe 5 Legend Sets, but other than that nothing else. Universe is a big pass for me other than Acid Storm and the Starscream coming out. Animated, well I'll catch the Dinobots and Blurr, but that's about it. Movie is dead for me, other than a couple of figures lying about, like Leader class Megs which I'm waiting to go on sale.
Sadly, that leaves... a couple of things. Mighty Muggs, Henkei and Star Wars TFs.
Mighty Muggs looks pretty cool. I've got a couple of the SWs one and they are quite nice.. Oddly shaped, but quite nice. Henkei's only obtainable via BBTS for me, so that's kind of a long shot, but some of the stuff is nice there(the seekers mainly).
Then there's Star Wars TFs. I've never ventured into the line before, so I'm kinda skeptical about it. I've heard mixed reviews from the first wave up into the latest wave. I'm not a big Star Wars fan as I am a Transformers fan, but I'm still frankly quite a fan. So I guess I'm looking for any opinions on the SW TFs and of course, what figures I should get and which ones I should avoid.
Cheers,
Blurrz

The only SW TF that looked good was Death Star Vader. I did'nt buy it, but I heard it was the most stable of the series.
I'd recommend Henkei. I'm going to be purchasing some real soon so I'll let you know what I think of them once I get them.
laftoys.com has the best prices on Henkei.

I try to pretend the SWTFs and the Marvel Crossover TFs don't exist.

The Millenium Falcon is the best example of an SWTF that I own. I'd recommend that in a heartbeat, it's a great toy with some well-chosen sound effects and voice clips. Other than that, I hear the Death Star is good, and... er... that's about it.

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Clone Commander Cody is pretty decent. The new Tie Bomber, though, is VERY well done. It seems like the SW TF's are making very small baby steps in making decent transformable toys.
That said, I wouldn't waste too much money on them. The Marvel Crossovers are pretty good, but if I were you, I'd splurge on some Henkeis!

I disagree. The clips are good but the figure is rubbish. Very UNposeable. Standing Han Solo up is virtually impossible and Chewy's groins gets in the way of his own legs! Darth Vader Death Star is the best of the line and in my oppinion, the only one worth getting, but he's not THAT great either. Transforming him into the Star is like assembling a broken easter egg - the plastic is about the same thickness, I'm not kidding here!
I recommend looking into another line like Alternators.

The Commander Cody / Turbo Tank and ARC-170 / Clone Pilot ones are good. I have the original red & white ARC, but I think the black "shark tooth" version looks cool, too.
Steer clear of the Boba Fett / Slave-I mould (Boba or Jango available). Slave-I (as with all the vehicle modes) looks great, but the 'bot mode is truly dire.

I have the Millenium Falcon and the Vader/TIE Advanced. I like them both, but the rest of the line doesn't seem very good and I've read bad reviews...

I just think most of them look crap in bot mode.

Why spend money on them when there is perfectly acceptable garbage already accessible and free of cost in a nearby trash can?

There ****.
And if you really want them I believe someone had a thread in Carbombya giving them away a little while ago.

They're pretty crappy as TFs. If you're really into Star Wars, you'd probably be happier with regular Star Wars toys. I'd rather have a non-transforming X-Wing fighter model than an X-Wing that transformers into a retarded looking "action figure".
