Starscream shoulder question
Finally broke down and got a Starscream movie mold. Not a fan of the plane so much, but I'm really digging the robot mode. Except that after a couple transformations, his right should is floppy. It's the long black piece that connects his actual arm to the torso that flops down some and makes him look strange. Is there a way that his shoulders and that black piece lock while in robot mode or is he just got a bad joint? That black "arm" is held to the torso by a metal pin. The other should is great, and stays up fine, making his arm look like it's connected directly to the torso, which of course it's not. But this arm falls down some in bot mode.

Well in that case... lol. I guess I'll just make the best of it. I'd thought maybe I should find me another, but it sounds like he'd do the same exact thing. Oh well.

You hate the mold...yet you have 5 of them...hmmm....

Anyway, so far, my Starscream hasn't had any problems, but that could be becuase I've only transformed him once.

I can't speak for SS, but my Thundercracker doesn't have that problem. One of the shoulders doesn't snap over to the upright position as cleanly as the other (it does pop to about that point), but it's pretty sturdy after I force it the rest of the way.
TC had other problems, though.

Just like MP Skywarp corrected the problems of MP Starscream...
Movie Thundercracker may have corrected the problems of Movie Starscream.

I don't have him in front of me, so I don't know what the pieces look like exactly, but you may be able to try the superglue trick.
A little superglue on the joint will make it tighter, just dab some on, and keep the joint moving while the glue sets.
Disclaimer: If you glue his arm in place you did it wrong and it ain't my fault!!

Hopefully MP Skywarp didn't come with a whole host of new ones, though!

The connection is a swing. Not a ball joint. I don't know if your suggestion will be applicable or not.

That depends upon whether it's a pin or not (I don't have TC nearby at the moment, so I can't check). I've no idea how to fix pin joints without removing the pin -- something I've been unable to do with any of the figs I've tried it with -- but if you can unscrew one side and split the halves you should be able to do it. My TC came with pretty loose ankles, but I was able to tighten them up with clear nail polish and superglue. (One each, and I recommend using the nail polish since it's safer and the glue joint is almost TOO tight! But maybe I used too much.)
