TF's multiline confusion???

Postby microclone » Sun Mar 04, 2007 12:20 pm

after beastwars there has been such a mix of TF lines running simultaneously and overlapping without cartoon/advert? tie ins/promotion, i wonder if kids today get a bit mixed up wondering whats what or do they just see one brand. BW had at least distinctive characters but once armada>energo>cybertron alongside binaltech/RID/universe/HOC/legends/classics/titaniums/reissues things seem to 'blurr'.

These days you need a new product out every 5 mins to keep kids atention away from computer games and the like. And you still have the core charecters through the A/E/C trilogy to latch onto.

Do kids even watch the cartoon to learn about the characters? Armada was probably the last series aired where kids(in America) even had a decent chance at watching the show at a decent time, and even that was pretty difficult, what with all the time changes. Energon and Cybertron got even less air time. They showed a few episodes here and there in a decent time slot, but the majority of it was during the 6-7 a.m. slot, where I doubt it got much viewing.

Otherwise, I figure kids just lump Transformers in with other Transformers, not caring which line they belong in. I always did, but I did keep my Beast Wars kind of segragated away though, cause they were pretty different.

Thats true, in the UK you'd have to get up at stupid oclock on the one day of the year a show is aired to stand a chance of seeing a tf cartoon on terestial tv (the free stuff).

And it isnt much better on the channels you pay for, cant rember which channel it is that shows tfs, but they tend to do it all at once late in the evening... and are still endlessly recycling Energon... not Armada (which was good), not Cybertron (which is still current in the shops and is good), Energon, which is crap.

It's cartoon network Redimus, and I hate them for the groundhog day theyve made out of energon too.
