Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I have not been on here in quite some time. The Encore Line does not fail to surprise me. Omega Supreme & Metroplex. Two of the biggest TFs out there, or at least in the City-Bot size class. My question is, why not earlier? Other question is, what are the other TF's we thought would NEVER be re-issued ever that just might make it into the Encore line? If Omega & Metroplex are, who's to say Gestalts won't be next?

I would love to see Shockwave, and as you stated the Gestalt teams.

Speculation on my part(I already own both G1 Shockwave and Anime Galvatron) But Shockwave and the original Galvatron were assembled by the same Korean company. (The TF version of Shockwave anyway) so just as Skylynx and Omega were made by the same company Toybox........................

I wanted to post that, but I thought everyone would think that I was the crazy one. Granted, THAT Encore would be over $250, possibly $300 in this day & age, since he was about $90-$100 back in 1987. Still, after these 3 big hitters, I want to say that just about any TF is possible....

I too would love to see Shockwave reissued (or Laserwave, as Takara would call him). I don't think he was ever released in Australia -- at least I was never able to find him as a kid.

Personally I couldn't give a stuff about the G1 "scramble" gestalts. I really don't think they're toys that've aged very well at all. I can understand people wanting them to complete their collection though.

Can someone tell me what is the encore range?, I mean why so cheap?.

Well why not? Its Takara's own product, not a knockoff, and the supply is there since they are being manufactured at least for now.

So the price is reasonable. Prices only go up when there isn't enough supply to meet demand. But since they are being produced there is supply.

Brave came out during Car Robots. How much was he then? I really think we'll see a fort max soon and I can't wait.

I'm waiting to see a Scorponok re-release.

I believe we'll never see a Fort-Max re-release, because they can't get him to pass the drop test in America.

So? none of the encore line figures passes toy safety tests, but they don't have to. They aren't meant for US release, only Japan. And if they could release Fort Max for the Car Robot's line a few years ago, they can surely re-release him now as part of the encore line.

This may be a first.....I don't think I've ever seen a post disparaging towards the G1 gestalts......I don't care, I'm just surprised.

True that, and that's probably the number 1 reason people say Fort Max won't be reissued. I live in the US, Skylynx was reissued in JApan, but I got the Encore version. Since these are intended to be sold in Japan, I doubt they'd let US toy laws interfere with their decisions.

Correct me if I'm wrong Getter, but wasn't Brave Max missing a bunch of the bits and pieces that Fort MAx had? Maybe that's one of the reasons Brave Max sold so bad....besides the issue of mammoth size. I have to wonder, as much as I'd love a Fort Max, where the hell would I put one?

Yea, it was missing some, but you could get them in repro that were correctly colored for Brave Max. At one point I saw Brave Maxs selling for $99 shipped!

I can't understand how I missed out on that, and I was seriously collecting during the RID times.

I'm going to say that the #1 reason why we may not ever get a Fort Max reissue is the size of the figure. Not the drop test, not the price, no. The size of the toy is enormous. I'd love a reissue, but we still have to wait and see what we get.

i love my brave max, he's great condition with a gun cover missing off an arm, i also prefer his colour scheme to fort max's. However if they resissued fort max i would buy one like a shot, huge he may be (hes been here a month and i still cant get over how big he is lol) but itd be worth it. As for encore, to me its the most interesting line going at the moment, dont get me wrong, i like the classics line and animated is growing on me more and more all the time but theres something about g1's that give me a MAJOR buzz

The Encore line is going in a direction with other figures that never saw a release from just Takara through their TFC line. I would venture to guess that is because some of the molds were possibly owned by Tomy or one of Tomy's subsidiaries.

But with Sky Lynx having been released and Omega Supreme & Metroplex on the docket to come out later this year I'd shave to agree that anything is possible. I'd venture to guess that Trypticon, Skorponok, Shockwave and some of the gesalts are a great possibility. Especially considering that they seem to be going for the larger more obscure releases.

But I also think that revisiting releases done by Takara earlier aren't too far fetched either. That is where my hope of seeing another Thrust & Ramjet resissue stems from. But in the end we'll all just have to wait to see what happens.
