Haha! Grimlock would probably prefer to suck pygmy goat nipples instead!

i'd fogotton all about his pretender form, now that you've 're-enlightened' me, i feel much better about classics grimlock!

I don't think Classics Grim is really meant to be a straight homage to his Pretender form .... it just looks like the designer thought it'd be neat to do his transformation "backwards" (especially since E Grim transforms very much like G1 Grimlock and was released just before Classics Grim). Still, it's alot like Pretender Grimlock.

I like the bot mode alot .... except for the manufacturing errors and the almost nonexistant lower arms. Hot Rod has the same arm problem .... what's up with that?

Energon Grimlock is really bad, though. In both robot and dino mode. He's plan, he keeps splitting in half, his "super mode" head is easily seen from the bottom, he lacks a stomach completely, he lacks many minor details, and his paint scheme doesn't bring out what details he does have. I just got him for my "G1-dino based Grimlock" collection.

I remain a fan of Energon Swoop and Grimlock. Maybe it's because I have them that makes me feel differently, becuase it seems lots of people don't have him but the pictures make them hate the figures. Like maybe holding them and getting up close and personal with them makes some difference.

I like the look of both Classics and Energon Grimlock. Wish I could find either. (Energon Swoop isn't too bad either, colours are a bit dodgy, but the combined bot looks stoopid)
The Energon Grim has a bit of WWI in him too, while the Classics one has a cool alt mode and upper half of his robot mode, his thigh-high-heel booties are not very Grimlock IMO. I'd like a larger (Voyager class?) version using something more like his G1 transformation scheme for Classics 2.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

i'm not implying it is a homeage to pretender grimlock, i'm just saying that being reminded of pretender grimlock makes me realize that the transform of classics grimlock isnt all that bad after all!
