The court of public opinion regarding Transformers can be a very harsh place and like in a real life court, sometimes the innocent take the fall.

In this case, the crime isn't robbery or murdery but just plain suckiness of a figure.

So this is your forum to defend any figure or figure you think has taken the fall without deserving it.

I'll lead off here with the Cybertron Thundercraker/Skywarp mold. Okay, so it might be guilty of having an unneeded cannon arm, but I think there are a lot of cool things about the rest of these figures. I think the jet modes look very sleek and I love the way the cockpit and wings look in robot mode.

Feel free to make appeals about your own favorite "unloved" molds here.

Oh man. I really don't see what's all to great about Armada Deluxe Prime. Now, when it comes to Armada Sideswipe... he isn't half that bad. Same with Hot Shot

I don't really have a problem with Thundercracker's cannon arm, it's his wing that gets my goat.

Cybertron Thundercracke... I have the Skywarp repaint. The repaint is lousy, doesn't do Skywarp justice. The gun arm can be annoying but i can get past that, but its the rubbery tail fins that really irk me.

As far alt modes go, its actually decent. So that's what he stays in.

Energon Prime seems to get the biggest slack, and he's nowhere near as bad as everybody claims he is. His power-linking gimmick with his OP units is actually fun and looks good. Its the Color mis-match that makes it look weird. Had they given the OP units a more uniform color scheme he'd look better. However the regular robot mode, is far from being the POS most people label him as.

I agree on the Energon Optimus mold. I thought it was an awesome figure. The fact that he could combine with Omega and Wing saber completely negated the fat look for me.

Poor Wheelie, besides being arguably the most annoying cartoon character, he easily had the worst mold, at least between 1984-1987.

My wife who actually thinks Wheelie is cute can't even stand that toy.

Deluxe classics Optimus Prime from the two pack. Sure, his alt mode looks dwarfed when compared to the other classics, but his robot mode is a lot of fun to mess around with as well as being fun to transform. Plus, you gotta love a transformable tommy gun.

G1 Springer tends to get a bad rap as a toy because he does not live up to his animated characters look, and personality. But c'mon, could any toy live up to that much coolness?

"I've got better things to do than die."

Yes, it is a bit sad, but he does convincingly triple change, he does have his cool transforming helicopter blade sword, and he is similar colors to his animation model. The head mold is pretty close to dead on.

Cut the guy some slack, or he may have to push you back.

Quickswitch is probably the most maligned figure I like. Admittedly his robot and gun modes look a little goofy but his posability is great, his puma mode is fantastic, his hydrofoil mode is both unique and convincing, his drill tank mode looks suitably dangerous and his jet mode hovers like some vast predatory bird. Cut him some slack.

My main problem with Leader Energon Prime is that they made a better proportioned, better looking relatively bellyless DELUXE version of the exact same toy. The worst part is that the drones attach perfectly to the Deluxe version and they look much better on him.

Waka Waka Waka....

The one with the pronounced yellow there is a Takara product. Hasbro replaced it with gold in their version.

What's the problem with those? Fort Max is simply awesome; Silverbolt I didn't have the luck to see in person, but if it is nearly as cool as Universe Onslaught, I want to get it.

A lot of people complain about the fact that it is, in fact, possible to remove the jet from the back of Universe Silverbolt and end up with a robot that can turn into a box. The jet parts are completely unneccessary to the figure - except for the purpose of capturing his G1 -feel-. And Universe Silverbolt does that better than pretty much any other Universe/Classics figure besides Prowl/Silverstreak. I really like his proportions, poseability, facial expression, sounds, and the transforming sound when you extend / retract the hips just about makes me need to change my shorts. :D

Armada Prime is very cool. Lost of fun stuff to d with the mold. And the actual auto-transformation actually works as intended if you know what you are doing.
