Why these aren’t two-packs, I don’t know. I just can’t justify paying for a set just to get one character mold I don’t have and four I already have.
This.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Not really, its just that the entire car is now cast in the same yellow plastic, and they don't ned to paint translucent plastic in yellow, which is what causes the mismatched tones of Yellow in the original release.
All in all, the set looks fairly nice.
Wonder if it will be available outside of Hasbro Pulse in any way for those outside the countries served by it.
Ahh, thanks. We'll see if I can pick one up from BBTS.

Fortunately, I'll only need to rotate out and sell ONE figure in order for all these to be unique additions to my G1 Autobot collection. It was a bit of a scare when the pre-order pages listed them as "SOLD OUT" in the first 10 minutes. Then the page itself vanished after the first hour. But it came back, and the figures are still available as of this moment.
First impression of Hound is that his grey plastic looks 'dirty' somehow, like it caught the light wrong and has some green reflected onto it. I hope that's fixed for the final release and that it's normal grey.
And I knew that Trailbreaker wouldn't be the pale grey in the leaked photos, the lighting looked bad in those early shots. Everything else looks good, and I look forward to reviewing the lot, even though they're all essentially re-releases.

I wonder if this release will cause the original Sunstreaker to go down in price on the 2ndary market.

It's finally showing the page for me, but already shows as sold out. Did I miss it? Or is the page just still wonky?

These figures look really, really good. I'm happy they went the extra mile and gave Wheeljack and Sunstreaker proper guns. I just hope this doesn't backfire and nobody buys it since that might mean hard-to-find figures will stay hard to find. It would be funny if in June Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, and Sunstreaker all of a sudden showed up at Ollies or Ross. I think that this also explains how the recent G2 Jazz had Hound's weapons.

The Detritus mold is garbage anyway.
Sooner or later, they will make a proper "SS86" Hound with his own, brand new mold.

Re: Transformers Generations Selects Series Discussion
True to form this sells out on Pulse before I even aware of it. lol
Which is a good thing since I'm not tempted to buy just for one figure that I'd probably just be disappointed in anyways. The long wait for Hound only to see it turn out this way really does feel like a gut punch.
Now I guess I'll have to pin my hopes of a new Powerglide to wrap up my collection.

I don't find this set to be anything impressive, but because I do want to have Sunstreaker and Hound in my collection, I've got a preorder placed.
I actually don't like the extra stripes on Jazz, but oh well. The other three that were previously released do look better imo; and I'm happy that the front lower legs of Sunstreaker are solid pieces of plastic and not waffled. Hound is alright, but I'm assuming this is the best version of that character we'll see for a long, long time. I'm sure some think Wheeljack is too bland, but I really like this look for him. And Trailbreaker is definitely icing. Both Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker were figures I never saw and wasn't willing to spend extra money for on the aftermarket.
Imo, the only downside to this set is Jazz having more deco than I think he needs.

True, but I have become accustomed to Pulse with their more timely ETA's and free shipping.
I may give EE a shot since it's free on order over $79 but they sure do know how to drag preorders out... I'm still waiting on a couple things I preordered a whole year ago.

It's gonna be interesting when these figures get broken up and sold individually to see which are the most wanted. For me it's SStreaker which looks great and I will be adding the ER version to my POL to part ways with.

And unlike most I'm content with Siege Hound, he's a great modern version in my Neo G1 crew...'nuff said!

Mostly same. We're going to be swapping out the original releases for the ones from this set. Specially SS86 Jazz, went to transform him after a few months of not touching him at all and his roof section has a crack line running the entire legnth. When handling Trailbreaker it always felt like we were going to just snap the entire section off.
Gonna keep Siege Hound tho. He'll fit right into an IDW line-up.
Colour-wise, it's nothing a bit of paint [remover] can't fix here.
That said, we're not "anti-clear plastic", they usually look good. We'd just prefer not to have figures snap and crumble from them just existing on a shelf. It's a decision we make figure to figure.

Re: Transformers Generations Selects Series Discussion
I waited and searched and scored Eartrise Sunstreaker of of Marktplaats a few months ago for 20 euro's sealed (seller didn't know how terribly rare it had gotten).
And I payed 3 times the price for Trailbreaker which isn't too bad. However they are both in this pack.
Now I am perfectly happy with my Siege Hound so no hyperfocus on getting him earthmode.
I do think he will be sold seperately in the future in some subline or whatever. So guys getting their midlife crisis now is a bit unneccesary I think. Just wait or do get the whole pack.

I messed with my Antagony some more recently, this new Inferno mold is pretty dang neat. I wish one set of bug legs ended up in the robot mode legs though.
She also looks great with Fox Cheetor, giving us Cataclysm as her fellow Herald! Now we really need a new Rampage for a new Shockaract
