The Transformers Prime galleries continue! Courtesy of site sponsor Kapow Toys we have a gallery of the recently released in the UK Powerizer Optimus Prime. This version is approximately Voyager class in size and features new weapons, translucent plastics, and a light-up gimmick. How does this version stack up to the First Edition Voyager figure? IMO, the only thing this guy's got on FE is the no giant red heels.

Wow every piece of news this week has been about TF Prime. While I enjoyed the series, I dont want to get into the figures since it's basically just animated mixed with bay-verse. I look foward to some new Generations releases this year.

It amazes me that ignoring masterpieces, G1-Optimus Prime is still one of the most kibble-free Transformers ever made. Having half the truck hang off his back makes this totally underwhealming.

Also - clear plastic on such an important joint in the arms? Really? 10 years from now, the First Edition will be less rare through toy breakage. :P

I'm gonna wind up buying that because of (what I think is) the Star Saber sword. That, and I've always been a sucker for the light ups.

Unrelated note, if Hasbro is watching, REISSUE THE LASER RODS.

Well goodness gracious, that back kibble on this one is terribad, the FE version is much better. Although that sword does look pretty sweet nonetheless.

I think this Powerizer Prime OP is fine, since it's clearly aimed for children that plays with his/her toys.

Since we already got the FE Voyager Prime OP, let judge this one as a toy for the young ones, and I bet this one is more fun for the kids than the FE OP, so it's got merits. As an adult collector obviously the FE version is better but I definitely am NOT hating this one for what it is. Think of the children, people! The CHILDREN! XD

You know, if it wheren't for all that kibble, translucent plastic and the lack of paint, this would actually be pretty bad-ass. Oh and ignoring the stupid blaster thing.
