Hi guys,
I hope you guys can help me make a decision on which transformers to buy. I have two questions:
1) Which is better overall, the Jetfire Classic figure or the 30th anniversary one?
2) Which combined robot is the best in your opinion. I mostly look into a set in which every individual transformer has great mobility in its arms and legs and that the combined one has great mobility too.
Thanks,
Elías

1) Both are good figures, it really just depends on what you're going for. If you want a Voyager-sized Jetfire who looks like the original toy in robot mode but the cartoon model in vehicle mode, go with Classics. If you want a Leader-sized Jetfire (arguably the correct scale) who looks like the original toy in vehicle mode but the cartoon model in robot mode, go with Thrilling 30. Another advantage to the latter is that it's 100% accurate to Jetfire in the current IDW comics.
Both are great toys with powerful-looking robot modes, an optional mask, some serious payload and cool-looking jet modes. It's simply up to personal taste.
2) Assuming you're just talking about Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors... there are a LOT of options, especially considering you can mix and match. It's a bit hard to pick from such a broad topic so you might want to limit yourself by faction or whatnot; but some of the best in quite a few peoples' opinion are CW Bruticus, UW Grand Galvatron and UW Computron. Once again it depends on what you're looking for and there's very few Combiners you can go wrong with - every individual limb/torso bot have the same fantastic articulation as well; so once again hard to go wrong with any of them.

And the voyager is exactly how he looked in teh early IDW stuff. Which probably means less to people who are in the current comics. But worth a mention.
I don't have the thilling 30 one, but I have the classics (well, a repaint) and that is a fantastic figure. Good heft, fun transformation, and he doesn't have any of the hollow bits like the leader one does. But, it's tough to pick. Which do you like the look of more? That's really what it'll boil down to. And do you want it in the correct scale?
Any combiner from combiner wars is great (except Menasor. He is easily the weakest). Superion is really good, but all his limbs are samey. Unite Warrior Computron is one of my favourites, and shares Superion's torso mould so you get all the goodness from that. The Hasbro Computron would also be a great choice for that team if you don't mind a less toon accurate figure. Although Nosecone uses the Brawl mould, so has not amazing arm poseability. Unite Warriors Nosecone uses the Rook mould, who is one of the best limb figures you can get.
Also Bruticus. I have the Unite Warriors one, but the hasbro one should be just as good, if you don't mind the less toon accurate paint job, and Blast Off being a plane instead of a shuttle. Although Brawl doesn't have great arm mobility.
Or if you really want to splash out, get the Titan class Devastator. The unite warriors version has extra touches to the individual constructicons that enhance their poseability and makes it a truly awesome set.

I would say that as far as Jetfire goes, go with the Classics version. It's smaller, but doesn't have a bunch of hollow spots and isn't a needlessly-complicated hot mess of faux-parts.
Regarding combined modes, I think people have said all there is to say about Combiner Wars. But if you're not strictly thinking Combiner Wars, I would look into Cybertron Leader-class Optimus Prime and Ultra-class Wing Saber. Both have decent arm articulation (Wing Saber slightly less so), and the combined mode uses Optimus' arms.

1. Leader Jetfire. He is sleeker and more imposing with the right size for a Jetfire figure.
2. The combiners found best were Unite Warriors Grand Galvatron, Computron (both Combiner wars or Unite Warriors) and Combiner Wars Bruticus.

1) Which is better overall, the Jetfire Classic figure or the 30th anniversary one?
I loved voyager Jetfire when it came out, but IMO leader Jetfire blows it away. Particularly I think it's pretty darn neat how the jet mode looks like G1 Jetfire/Robotech Veritech/Macross Valkyrie while the robot looks like toon Skyfire. The smaller one is a neat design on it's own, but doesn't really hit me in the nostalgia as much.
2) Which combined robot is the best in your opinion. I mostly look into a set in which every individual transformer has great mobility in its arms and legs and that the combined one has great mobility too.
Most of the Combiner Wars groups have the same decent articulation in individuals and combined mode, much more than most past lines combiners. Maybe original RID Omega Prime, but he's just two parts combining, and while he and RID OP and UM have great articulation, he's pretty top heavy combined. Landfill from the same line isn't bad either, but he's a little different, might not be what you're looking for. It's a nice toy, though.
I would say either just pick one of the CW combiners you like the look of or Takara's Devastator (the individuals have more articulation than Hasbro's -- combined, they're both great with articulation)
