Unicron...a collectible?
Hi, My son has a unicron that he's grown tired of. He has a mini-con with it, too, if that helps. Is that a collectible?

It can be. What condition is it in? Do the electronics work? Are all of the pieces there? Does it still have the box, instructions, missiles, etc? I would recommend checking eBay-->toys/hobbies--> action figures--> transformers to see what other people have for sale and to see what the going price for a similar figure to your son's is going for.

Mint in box top estimate about 50euro, but that is really really milking someone.....you could just wait 20 or 30 years, then it would be worth something-maybe

That's tough to say. Most of fans that grew up with G1 have waited over 17 years for a movie accurate fully transformable Unicron. Armada finally delivered that to us. But yet it doesn't seem to have the collectible value you'd think.
Anyways you'll get the most for it if you or your son still have the box, instructions, all missiles and the accompying minicon. Of course all in great condition too.

Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!

My turn then?
SEIBERTRON CONTAINS NUTS!!!
Well, wasn't that enjoyable?
I'd suggest holding on to it for a while.
If I grow tired of a transformer, I put him on the display shelf. Sonner or later, I wanna play with him again!
Course, there are some that are too good to be on the display shelf...

Yo, I love candy corn. It kind of sucks that you can only get it once a year.
::Whispers::
Really? So...not candy? Oh, well I hate Unicorns.
Always poking me with their horns and thinking their...
::Whispers:;
Oh, Unicron,
nope, not worth much at all. Probably less than what you bought it for.
Now if you were selling Unicorns or candy corn....

That's a good point.
Is it mostly yellowish or mostly blackish?
I still say keep it. He may be bored of it now, but I'm sure if it was sold on he would want it back.
It's the 'grass is always greener' thingy.

I'm allergic to nuts, but have gotten used to you guys, so you don't bother me anymore. At first I got a nasty rash just for looking at the site.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

Don't sell it. Your kid will never forgive you if you do.
Just look at some of the members here whose parents sold their Fortress Maximus, Omega Supreme, Metroplex or Trypticon years ago. They now have to pay many times the original price to get another one.
Just put it in a box and store it in a cupboard for the next 10 years. In the future your kid will thank you for it.
