6 others? 2 more? As in 8 total? Either way, whether 6 or 8, why?

I am surprised at this question.
Although there seem to be so many people who are unimpressed with the
Animated there are just as many who are happy with them.
Prime toys almost always become a target for collectors years down the road. It's a common trend among these toys.
There may be a level of disdain among some collectors about hoarding,
it is done to profit later on down the road, as long as the market doesn't fall out from under it's feet.
If it wasn't done by some there would be no MISB versions of these toys down the road. I personally love to get a figure that is years old and be the first one to bust it out of it's packaging.

No, we will be laughing when you're selling them on eBay for $19.99 with the Buy It Now option. Animated TFs will never appreciate in value the way G1 and other early TFs do.
