Wow thanks guys especial you GetterDragun everyone raves about how amazing mp starscream is but you really put into prespective. I still think I will get anime version because I have prime and all. I look forward to hearing even more figure and lines that were over hyped I hope this thread keeps going for awhile.

In answer to this thread, my biggest disappointment in recent years was Energon Sharkticon. The initial pictures made him seem alot cooler than he really was.
When I get '08 BB I will be the happiest TF collector in the world. There's no way he can dissapoint me unless he falls apart out of the box. After having the '74 BB for so long and seeing how much he sucks, the '08 looks like a masterpiece.
The biggest dissapointment I've seen is Leader Megatron. I wasn't too keen on the movie design anyway, but man does that toy blow hard. Did they even try?

I didn't really watch any of the Armada/Energon/Cybertron series but they did keep taking shots and bringing back some of the G1 one characters so I stayed interested in the toys(Like Towline being an obvious tribute to G1 Ratchet and Ironhide). I can never really afford many so I have to pick and choose pretty carefully, and then hope that I love the thing when I do finally throw down some cash. Then came Primus/Cybertron and I absolutely had to have it. Cybertron? On my own shelf? GIMME! But, it's really only that, Primus and Cybertron. Now that makes it worth it to me, but much like Unicron, it's just a big robot that turns into a ...planet. There are a couple cool features on there, but not as many as you'd hope in something that size and price. I mean G1 Metroplex was like a Swiss Army knife of fun comparted to Primus. I had to have him, but I was a hair dissapointed. I mean he's Primus for god's sake! He should glow, light up, talk, transform himself, AND wash my dog.

All of the Alts-I can transform them from car to robot mode
and that is it.
All of the orginal molds in RiD. They were horriable designs
that sucked.
Beast Machines-the designs worked great for the show but they
were not good designs for toys the only one that was any good
was Night Attack Cheetor.

Supreme Starscream from Cybertron was a let down for me, dont get me wrong I really like the figure, and have no complaints about him, but he was not as good as I had hoped. (he has no fine detailing like Primus, and his transformation is very simple)
Cybertron Soundwave was also a massive let down for me, I read nothing but love for him for a month before I found one, and then when I finally got one for myself, he wasn't anything special at all.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

For me, the most disappointing TFs I have are TiT Jetfire and Cybertron Cryo-Scourge.
Jetfire was one of my first TFs when I started getting back into them about a year or so ago. I was shopping with my wife when I decided to take a peak in the toys section to see if there were any decent new Gundam kits. While checking out the kits I noticed some new Transformers on the shelves next to the Gundams and saw Jetfire. I thought "Wow, there's a name that brings back memories" and loved the design. I'd never of Titaniums before and thought it looked pretty sweet and a fair bit of heft to it, so I sweet-talked the missus inot letting me get it. When I got home, I ripped into it, started to have a good look at it and the damn backpack fell off! I was so bummed out with Jetfire I swore never to buy a Titanium again...but then Rodimus Prime came out and my faith in the line was restored. Was so looking forward to the WW Grimlock too...
As for Cyro-Scourge, well, I've never been a big fan of beast-bots but I'd heard some good things about Scourge/Cryo-Scourge and he was on sale so I thought what the hell and got him. Honestly, he's not bad, but I really hate the fact that he has no wrists! That was the biggest letdown for me. It really makes posing him with his tail/axe a pain.

I have 08 bumblebee too and I'm disappointed, the racing stripes are coming off and I hardly mess with him.. Blackout is cool but needs to be bigger. most interesting transformation though, I dont think I've ever seen a transformer transform from a voyager class into a Deluxe class figure before.

Okay, don't shoot but... Movie Leader Optimus Prime
He is a good figure but is over rated, the cheap & ugly grey plastic, the poor balance and the huge amount of kibble(a killer for me) are dissapointing for a leader class.
And ofcoarse Movie Blackout, he sells for a voyager price but is a deluxe with a stupid rotor blade back pack.

I don't know I have quite a few in my mind... and I haven't seen that many Transformers... but from what I have seen I'll have to say Armada Lines were a bit bad...
