TFWIKI wrote:According to Aaron Archer, Artfire is on the "short list" of potential reissue candidates should the Commemorative Series return. If he does, it's possible that the reissue will come with a complete set of weapons like Ricochet did.

Of course, without direct reference and the source being TFWIKI, it could be total bullshit.

PLUS it's at least 5 years old, coming from the first hiatus (between the regular line and Classics Soundwave). That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see him, on the contrary. Artfire was actually the rarer of the two Japanese Targetmaster repaints even before Stepper's reissue.

Hasbro did say that they're willing to reissue anything that Takara already has so long as Hasbro hasn't done it already. So if we beg Takara instead of Hasbro, I think we'd have more luck with seeing Artfire reissued. Besides, my suggestion of Hound is way more realistic 8)

As nice as it would be, I can't imagine that Trypticon would pass the drop test.

Not since 2001! Toy Safety Laws have changed a lot between the 80's and now, so forget about a US release of the bigger guys. O, the upcoming "reissues" are actually bootlegs. ;)

I could, however, see Fort Max and Trypticon eventually being Takara reissues. Pain in the wallet for import, but it's probably the only way we're ever going to see them again.

I agree with the above that G2 Megatron would be pretty cool. Beyond that, I'd be all for some more combiners reissued.

Hound or Blitzwing may seem like no brainers, but they really aren't flagship characters like many of the other recent reissues - even figures like Perceptor or Blaster are much more key than Hound or Blitzwing.

But I'd prefer Jazz before these. The original reissue was a joke, and Hasbro have had a big enough gap for a decent reissue to now be worthwhile.

I still want Artfire, personally.

Funnily enough, Metroplex was in fact known as Fortress Maximus in pre-production! Irony at its best.

I still say no big guys as they're not cost effective. How about some Omnibot love for a change? Overdrive, Camshaft and Downshift? Hasbro has 2 of the 3 trademarks, what about the molds?

Crosshairs

Snarl

Carnivac

Triggerhappy

Apeface

Slugslinger

Wouldn't mind seeing repaints of G1 toys. Either as new characters like Detritus and Tiger Tracks or homags of other characters, either fellow G1 bots or retrofitting an Energon or Movie character into G1.

Examples include:

Sideswipe as Breakdown

Prowl as Movie Barricade

Starscream as Acid Storm

Ramjet as Slipstream or just reissue G2 Ramjet.

Blackjack as Generations Windcharger

Jazz/Prowl as Axer

Iromhide as G2 Motormouth (with clip on head)

Sideswipe as RID REV or G2 Firecracker

Sunstreaker as Dead End

Tracks as a Battlecharger or Freeway

Gen Tracks/Wheeljack would make such a great Downshift with the minimum of kitbashery.
