Where the hell are all the Bumblebees and Arcees?
They were only released at the start of the week, this is unbelievable. I really think scalpers should have the **** beaten out of them, I am not paying $25-30 for a $10 toy.
Are the evil scalpers getting to them or are my relatives in the US just very bad at looking?

This is how things always work when new toys get released. People can't find them anywhere, complain, check stores multiple times in a frenzy, bitch about scalpers on eBay.
Then in a few weeks, the toys reach saturation and the whining quiets down. People finally see the toys they want and get them.
Then the next wave gets its first sighting and the same people whine that they see nothing but those stupid last-wave toys!
It happened with the first rush of movie toys. It's happened with Classics. It's happened with every single mainline to date in any toyline! That's the game and the way it works, learn the rules or quit playing.

Chosen, all that's pretty irrelevant since the only reason that I'm able to get them at all(maybe) is that I have a relative on holiday.
By the time they reach here, I'll have to pay near-scalper prices to get them at retail, not to mention I'll have to wait at least another month. The Wave 1 deluxes don't even have wide release here yet, and the Classics deluxes never recieved a fully, wide release.

I just paid 25$ for 2008 Bumblebee and its a lot better than paying many of those EBAY prices that go for 40$-60$.
I dont think they were planning on making a whole lot of the Bumblebee's and new guys... So they wouldnt waste money by making too many. After all of these are sold, they'll probably make more but if they dont...... I bought many of them for 12-25$ and if I see them for 10$ in a store, I'll buy a copy to use in making new TF's and custom TF's. Like Drop kick..... new paint job, new head, and a custom made roof to go over the truck bed and he looks just like Skids. Just stuff like that.
But the waiting game could be a double edged sword... like the Energon dinobots of Grimlock and Swoop.... waited and never saw them..now instead of paying 20-30$ for them, you have to pay 50$ +.

Um, I'm sure that is not correct. The movie line is the only line until the animated series toys, that's 6+ months of movie figures and Hasbro is going to milk every minute of it, especially with a blockbuster supporting the toyline.

i have just found it pretty funny that pre-movie release, bumblebee and the like were all over the place. now, with the movie already out, one can expect to fin the likes of swindle, bonecrusher, and brawl on shelves (well....at least in northeastern ohio....)

No ****, man. These figs will be around for another 6 months.
I can't believe people are freaking out about not being able to find a figure that has been out for 3 days.

I wouldn't say it's a guarantee that all of these figures will reach the saturation phase.
How quickly people forget Energon. Those combiner limbs and final figures were nothing short of impossible to find for most of us, except those in metro areas. And even then it was still rather difficult because the distribution was terrible, and they made smaller numbers of each figure.
There's always a chance that that could repeat. Don't be surprised if the movie line happens to be one of those times.

seems kinda early to pay 30 for a 10 figure that's only been stocked in some areas and we will see this case assortment for at least another month or two.
the reason the scalpers do so well is people ARE willing to pay the high price to have it now rather than wait for it to show up when it would normally.

See, you're one of them. The tragic souls known as UK collectors. Well, that doesn't change the rules of the game, it only means you start with a burdensome handicap. That's a different story. Tragic, too, but like I said... rules are rules. If that's how the dice land, then your on-holiday friend isn't going to be able to help, and you'll have to either wait for UK release or have someone in the US sell one to you. That's all you can do - well, that and complain on teh internets.

I was lucky enough to find Arcee today after hitting up 2 walmarts!!! It was the last one and only found it after a friend with me pointed out (on another shelf, probably hidden by another collector til they made it back with spending money, sorry friend!)
I was trying to get 08 BB too, but he was nowhere to be found, but I saw a Classics Hot Rod (first sighting since he was released) and snatched him up...
Both Arcee and Hot Rod were the last in stock. Im glad I went to the second store to make sure they werent stocked cuz was gonna just get Blackout for $20... Im sure I would have found an Arcee by next payday but Hot Rod... I might not have ever caught him after today. Blackout will have to wait til next check with 08 BB.
PSS - Arcee has robo-hair!!! TREND SETTER! lol
PS - Saw one hidden Barricade, but Bonecrusher, Jazz, and Wreackage are still shelf warmers. Plus I did a good deed by helping a lil guy and his dad find a cool TF... Shoulda seen dads face, two grown men sharing his son excitement over these toys!!!

I bought an Arcee last night at the South Lansing, MI Target. I saw another one tonight at the Jackson, MI Target.

One thing I don't understand is why they don't bump up the case ratios of Bumblebee compared to the other characters. He's one of the main heroes from the film but even before they started disappearing you'd see 2 Bumblebees and about 10 Brawls or Jazz from the same restock.
