Can't decide on which to use. Need some info. Already have the Cybertron version of each mold, but can't decide on the best representation of the character. Help?

I think pretty much everyone who has the Botcon one is gonna say that one's better. I don't have either mold, but I still personally think the helicopter one is more desirable, mostly because I cannot see the resemblance between Exegieser and Springer in shape at all.

I'd go with the Universe one. An armoured car just doesn't say "Springer" to me.

I have both.

If you can afford it, get the BotCon one. The Universe one has its charms, but the shoulder structure of the BotCon one just seems so much more in line wtih Springer to me.

Considering the target two packs are still out and on clearence, id get both of them. I mean roadbuster is just a recolor of botcon springer, and you can have the helecoptor springer as well.

For the money of a botcon springer you can repaint roadbuster, or heck leave him like he is, hes pretty close to the right colors anyway.

But if you have the cash and want an "official" springer then the Botcon car one is pretty nice, though I agree an armored car really doesn't seem like Springer to me.

but I hear this a lot, 'just repaint it into that otherwise expensive toy'. I just don't see it a lot.

I think during the whole Thundercracker debacle, I saw 3 quality custom Thundercrackers. I must have heard 100+ people say they were going to do it.

It's so problematic and difficult to do. I mean, you first have to acutally be skilled with a paint brush. Getting past that, you have to accept that your toy once painted, can't really be handled or transformed without risk of destryoying the work.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Two questions are whether price is an issue and whether you want a set of modern mould Wreckers for Springer to lead (and with the heavy hint about this year's Botcon set that might soon be achievable). If cost is a major factor go for the Universe. If you're building a set of Wreckers and are using Universe Roadbuster then I'd say that Universe Springer would be the better option to avoid using the same mould. Otherwise whichever one draws you the most when you're ready to make a purchace.

I've got the Botcon version and don't plan on parting with him when I get hold of the Evac repaint, but I can't figure out where he's going to live once I pick the helicoptor one up. I can't think of a Micromaster that he's close to in general looks or alt mode to rename him as although there are a few that the colours arn'r a bad match for so he'll probably end up on my Cybertron shelf and retain his original moniker.

I'd go for the Eva repaint as Springer. Its just I see Springer more as his Chopper mode than his car mode. and less yet as a Armed Personnel transport.

Also as was said if you are going to use RoadBuster as part of your wreckers group it be better to have Springer as a different mold.
