The same as ever - the remaining stock will be shipped to the UK, where it will clog up shelves until Hasbro send the next lot of crap they can't sell.

Yes, that's what a shop manager told me!
Didn't someone else say something about them being released in DOTM?

Warpath, Wheeljack and Thundercracker are still showing up in various places. Beyond that, it's hard to tell. I don't see them putting these toys in the DOTM line. RTS is most likely dead since the line was clearanced out at most major retailers. Generations may or may not continue under the same name but probably not until after the movie line dies down a little. This is all just speculation on my part and we may hear more about it at Botcon.

Now that most of the stores in my area have put out the DOTM stock, I can make these two blanket observations:
1) There is still shelf space allocated for Generations figures. I don't know how long that will remain the case, of course. A few stores even have some space left for PCC figures. Make of that what you will.
2) All RTS/HFTD/ROTF toys are GONE. Even if a store had a bunch of product from those lines warming the shelves, the moment DOTM figures were put out, the old stuff vanished, probably to plastic hell.
I recall reading quite a while back that Hasbro mentioned the Generations line could/would coexist with the DOTM line at retail. Early signs seem to point to this being the case. Although no one knows right now what will happen ultimately with the rare and poorly distributed RTS figures, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that we'll see them with DOTM packaging. It's happened before, sort of, with the release of the Universe 2008 Aerialbots and Combaticons repaints at the end of that line. They got the Universe 2008 packaging in East Asia and Australia, but ROTF packaging for North America (and Europe?).

They're probably going to disappear, making the newer G and RTS toys fairly rare. I haven't seen any signs of this though, cuz next to the DOTM toys I see shelfs full of the RTS and G stuff. So as far as I can put it: I don't know...

Well, I don't know about the US, but over here we're suddenly seeing dirt-cheap (9,99 € is 'cheap' over here) HtfD toys. Tomahawk and that orange jet-dude. We're receiving you unsellable stuff.

No, my local Walmart still has TF2010 figures. They are being clearnced out at $5 each, which is a steal. I bought all of them, except Skids, because no one could pay me enough to harbor that plastic piece of ****.
RTS is done. GEN will not be done unitl October, but no other figures are slated to release, except Thundercracker and Wheeljack in June and Warpath in July. Some places have gotten some already though. DO NOT pay ebay prices for any of the three above though as the new case assortment is as follows
Wheeljack x2
Warpath x2
Thundercracker x2
Kup x1
Scourge x1
We will be rolling in them by late August....

Not exactly true, I have seen plenty of RTOF on clearance however I have noticed a slight resurgence of gen/rts figs down here. They have (at Wal marts that I have visited) the non DOTM figs either right next to or on the opposite side of the new movie swag.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

It might vary by region. My assessment is based on the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Once a store puts out DOTM stuff, the older ROTF/HFTD/RTS stuff disappears. Maybe some stores have moved them to a discounted items aisle, but I've not looked. It seems most stores (namely Targets and Wal-marts) are not letting the old stuff take up any DOTM realestate around here.

Wait, are you talking about U.S. distribution? Because I have been searching to no success for Wheeljack, Warpath and Thundercracker. And if so, do you have inside confirmation of that somehow? Because that's great news if true.

Gambit020480, may i ask where your getting your plethora of knowledge and information about when Hasbro will be ending Genline? We all know that RTS went off-line on May 16 when DOTM line arrived in stores, so no need to keep dwelling on that, but it does make me wonder about RTS Grapple & Lugnut since both have not been spotted in Ohio, but RTS Perceptor and Wreck-gar are making peep show appearances here and there.
Back on topic: About Genline i have alot of friends that work in retail that provide me with as much information about Hasbro as much as possbile, personally i spoke to one of my friends that did speak with his Hasbro rep and he said Genline will only continue through the end of July thats it, no more! Hasbro is still concentrating all aspects on DOTM Transformers, plus a HUGE release of new GI Joe stuff coming out around August 1st, along with GI Joe renegades and Transformers: Prime toys as well. Unless your talking about remaining stock that hasbro will be pushing out until October, i can see your point, but from what the Hasbro Rep said, Hasbro will not be making them past July. end of story.

Do you have info to back up that claim? My assumption was they would only continue to June/July because that is what they estimate that the remaining stock will dry up. Not that they are making more.gambit020480 wrote:RhA wrote:Well, I don't know about the US, but over here we're suddenly seeing dirt-cheap (9,99 € is 'cheap' over here) HtfD toys. It's already been stated as news on this site and others that SO Jazz and a couple of others are going to appear in DOTM packeging at some point in the Line's life cycle - I can't recall the specifics on the others but I sure a trawl thorugh the headlines a month ago will tell you what was known then.
Personally it seems a bit odd that the exemplar of G1 homages (Jazz, possibly the greatest Deluxe TF ever made) would be slotted into the movie line but whatever can get that beauty into kids and collectors hands should be encouraged, but it wasn't the rarest of selections in the RTS line and I would have thought a crash-course in Windcharger production and a release for that Rumble/Frenzy mold would have made more financial sense in that there are a LOT of folks that want them and they need to maximise a buck from these mold's as much as any other.
Beyond that this is Hasbro and they seem to be making a real mess across several of their properties at the moment about estimating the demand on "what's popular" and what isn't - go ask a Clone Wars Fan how happy they are with current distribution and case pack-outs and a theme we have all experienced in trying to get Generations/RTS is very evident. They need a new Quantities Guy and right quick!
As too Warpath/Wheeljack and all there may be more stock coming down the pipe but I can't see them making any more from now if the Movie line does as expected and WILL hog production for at least the next year and a half.

Ummm...Dont forget the repackage of RTS figure into DOTM line is still a rumor and i have not see anything or come across any information that is concrete and I've seen this on TRU's website so Lord only knows if its is true or not. If it's true, then it would be Jazz, G2 Prime, BB, and Tracks, but nothing about Perceptor, Wreck-gar, Solar storm Grapple and Lugnut. I'm hoping Hasbro will do something about the 4 I mentioned above, if not then it will be ebay or amazon time to pick up these guys. Thanks God I got United Grapple and Lugnut recently just in case i couldn't find these guys at all.

Yes, you are correct. July is that last month of production on Warpath. But, cases will still be hitting shelves well into September. But, they will not leave the shelves until October when Prime comes out as I said before.
I cannot tell you my source, but I can tell you it is reliable. Very reliable.
