Weapon: Reciprocating Laser Cannon
When I was small my father used to have the tradition that when we went to meet relatives we gave their kids some presents... One of those were my brothers Transformers comic books........ it took him a lot of time to get them back, and the last one I needed to buy from a store about a year ago.

OT: I buyed TM Primal a half year ago, and it is a fun figure... I hated it when it originally came out ("a gorilla that can turn into a gorilla...original, and it has a surfdesk too", I thinked, and it was one of the reasons I stopped collecting transformers) but I couldn't see the show back then... Now it is a piece of my collection.

Until recently I'd only seen the first season of Beast Wars (I don't think 2 and 3 ever got shown on terrestrial TV in the UK, if they did I managed to miss them) and being more of a comic guy I've always associated the mould more with Apelinq than Primal. To be honest I'm more likely to start putting together the Beast Era Wreckers ahead of the BW show cast so I'll probably find myself owning that one ahead of the original.

I thought the same way for the longest time. Few months back I bought a Botcon Apelinq and it is an awesome, fun to play with figure. But yeah, at first I was put off by the monkey transforming in to a different monkey and the hoverboard thing is still lame IMO, but this is a very, very fun toy.

Series 1 and 2 were shown on GMTV back when it first started in 95, but they never showed 3 (The Agenda was the end! What a cliffhanger it was!). I eventually found 3 on video around 99, but it missed Optimal Situation, so I had no idea what the hell was going on at first. About 2 or 3 years ago, channel 5 showed all 3 series and I was FINALY able to see what happened after Prime got blasted in the head.

On topic, I have original Primal and Optimal Primal, but not the TM version. Strangly enough, I have his two voyager TM counterparts. Megs is one of my fav all time figures.

I only got one not all that long ago, and truth be told I ahve not played with him much because I also got Inferno, Polar Claw and Torca (along with a few others) at the same time.

Although I did like his transformation, and you cant not love a "Flying Surfing Monkey".

Heh, it's a shame I threw mine out years ago. I think I broke off his head, and his chest caved in or something.

I've always loved that figure. It's very simple but it really left nothing to be desired. At first I was disapointed at its small size but it really wouldn't have worked in a larger size (as we found out with Cyb. King Starscream)
