I placed a couple of orders from them a few days ago. One of my orders says it shipped and the other says it's processing. I haven't recieved a tracking number for the shipped item. Is this normal from them? I would really like some feedback about this site and company if anyone has some since it's my first time ordering from them. They also aren't responding to emails.
Thanks in advance,
JT

i have placed two orders from them both for over $100 worth of figures. I'll be honest they seem really sketchy when you orrder. Orders are shipped in separate pieces sometimes and they take forever, upwards of 4 weeks. BUt I have always received everything I ordered. So thats a good thing. I wouldn't use them as a primary source but if they have something hard to find it's worth the it. i prefer robotkingdom.com the time between clicking confirm on the order and opening the toys was ten days.

I ordered a bunch of TFs from them not long ago and they arrived. I'm happy with what I got and the price paid but if you like to keep the packaging in nice condition, wide berth methinks.

I ordered from Yahobby once before. It took forever before my orders even "processed" and shipped, but I got everything I ordered I think within a month. I trust the site, they just have really bad communication.

Placed an order from yahobby in Dec. Encore Jazz, Ratchet and Trailbreaker, all were listed as in stock. Site says items ship in 2 business days.

One week after order, still no shipment notice. Email yahobby, no response. File Paypal dispute, told Jazz is backordered, will be back in stock on Jan 18th and all 3 items will ship then.

Jan 18th comes, no notice of shipment. Wait a few days and escalate to paypal claim. Now I'm told Jazz and Ratchet have shipped, but Trailbreaker is backordered and won't ship till Feb 15th.

Feb 12th, receive Ratchet and Jazz, box was beat up but the items were fine.

Since seller indicated he shipped the items, paypal closes dispute. Feb 15th comes, no shipment notice for Trailbreaker. File appeal with paypal. Got a refund today for Trailbreaker and 1/3 of the shipping cost. Trailbreaker is still listed as being in stock on the website.

So yeah, poor inventory management, poor communication. Would not order from again.

What is the shipping method? USPS Priority Mail International? Anyway, some day has to pass from when the store posts your order, until when the package is actually shipped to your country. I live in Europe and when I order from abroad I get at least 2-3 status changes before the "package shipped" status appears on the tracking page. Then the next tracking status should be "entered into customs" in 5-10 working days, depending on where you live.
Hope I've been helpful :)

Just got 'burned' by Yahobby.com :BOOM:

I ordered a Jetfire/Grimlock classics 2pack & a loose Henkei Megatron. No problem on the 2pack and am very happy about it. Unfortunatly I can not say the same about Megs. HE CAME WITHOUT A HEAD! :BANG_HEAD: My little guy is so upset. How could they send it not checking if there was one? Theres a head in the picture when I ordered. Basterdz! Buyer beware!

Judging by all the negative feedback regarding their correspondence with their customers I doubt this will go far. I'll email and ask for a refund. Hell, I'll even take credit!

Just open a Paypal dispute, you should get some kind of response from them that way.

I tried ordering some United figures from them, they let me place the order, then refunded me the whole order 2 days later saying one was out of stock. I re-placed an order for the other two, and got refunded again that they were also out of stock. As of now all three are still listed as "In stock".

Sucky place. I am in the middle of an order from Captured Prey, they seem pretty good so far, but it has been slow. A week and my items have yet to be marked as shipped.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

If you used paypal then reverse the payment for the megatron. It was marked as loose not incomplete.

Thanks AltHunter & ShardFenix,

I do appreciate the advice. I started a dispute. The purchase was made Feb 17th (awhile ago) so I hope I catch this in time. It took over a month for the items to get to me. You know Yahobby if ya ordered from them before. Nothing is ever in a hurry for those clowns.

Boycott Yahobby.com everyone

There is a getting head joke in there somewhere, I just don't want to say it...

That really sucks, but I am really surprised they didn't check that before it went out. That's pretty piss poor customer service.

yahobby overall is pretty piss poor. I ordered from them once and the items were all shipped separately..i was like eh....

I tried again and after three weeks it hadnt shipped. I started a paypal dispute and they immediately cancelled my order.

Im done with them permanently. They have a few items that are hard to find for cheap but its not worth the shipping costs and then the greater than average chance of not receiving those items.

They are not as trustworthy as robotkingdom or HTS or BBTS or tens of other distributors.

Update:

Well, Paypals's telling me "tuff". They only consider investigating if the event took place from 45 days of the initial purchase. My item roughly took well over a month. I then held onto the toy till I saw my son. He was with his mom. So theres another week or so that put me over the 45 mark.

Looks like im gonna 'eat crow' when I gave YAHOBBY.COM a good review for another item. Ive just sent a 'nice email' asking for my $ back.

IMO (& others would agree), the battles lost. Everyone reading this please BAN YAHOBBY.COM!
They practise bad business and are very dishonest!

Im currently doing a major transaction with TFsource and Curt & crew there are awesome! Nothing but praise for those guys!

Faith restored. Got an email saying theyre gonna pay and they did.

Its good that they paid me back and as soon as I complained with a thoughtful email bout bad business. Shouldnt've done it in the first place though.

They'd have to have sumthing truly rare for me to go back.

Thank you fellas for this thread. I was considering buying from YaHobby for some figs I've been having a hard time to get. I did a BBB check on them the other day and no record was found. So I requested for BBB to check them out.

Desperately wanting these figures. I decided check the TF forums I go to see if anybody dealt with them. Very surprise to see all the negatives yet they still exist as a business. I guess I'll steer clear and find what I want elsewhere. Glad I did it and saved myself the headache.

Thanks for the heads-up.
