Do Rumble! Do Rumble!

I do have a seperate largeer scale Rumble project planned. Gonna build him out of an engine kit. That way he's in just the right place to "eject" from the style Soundwave's chest. I will also try to build a 1:25 scale one too to go with this Soundwave.

I'm in the final stretch. A few more details and I'll only have the head left to do. I'll try to post another update very soon. Maybe by this weekend. I need to put some "glass" in the door windows first and then he'll be finished minus the head.

Looking forward to your update. How much time did you invest in this project?

I know it seems like this is taking forever, but it actually hasn't taken all that much time at this point. It's just stretched out over a long period because I have real life stuff that come first (family, new baby, work, etc). I work on it for a few minutes when I get a free moment. Honestly, the most time consuming part is the planning and cutting stage and all that's been done for quite some time.

I've probably spent as much time on this one as my Swindle built in the same fashion.

I'm already starting a new bot in this style. It will be a 1993 Mustang. My brother owns one and I want to make him a custom bot for Christmas.

I see that you've used Bionicles but have you used Legos on him?

Yes. Bionicle and ExoForce parts, both made by Lego. There's some other stuff in there too. Marvel Megamorph and scratchbuilt parts as well.

How did you made the legs to fold? It's always a challenge for me.

Great scot! You made an actual toy of your concept Soundwave? I can't believe it! Amazing! And it's even fully articulated!

Sorry, wrong word. I mean how did you made his legs and arms to BEND? It's always a challenge for me to make my LEGO-Bots to bend their arms and legs.

By the look of the toy, I don't think that SW is able to transform, am I right?

Let me save Tim the typing.
1. He uses lego BOINICLE peices, the sets with ball and socket joints.
2. He's said it before, and it does not transform.

Thanks!

Yep, I use http://exoforce.lego.com/en-us/Products/Default.aspx and http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us/products/toa%20mahri/8910.aspx pieces for the endoskeleton.
