I hope I am putting my question in the right section of the forum.


My first question is a general one.


1. We all know that in the 1986 movie Optimus Prime dies. Is he revived later in the TF Animated Series?


2. In 'Ghost in the Machine', Season 3 Episode 17, the Autobots destroy Unicron. At the end of the episode, we see a gleam in Unicron's eye. Does he come back?

1. Optimus comes back in season 3 of G1's series. He was brought back because of how many fans wrote to Hasbro saying how much they loved Optimus; thus he was revived.

2. Yes - Unicron comes back.

He returns twice, first in "Dark Awakening" which was written before the movie came out. And then in "The Return Of Optimus Prime" which was at the end of season three and in response to the letters from parents and fans. He then appears in two different continuities. In the Hasbro series, he appears in "The Rebirth" which was the final three episodes of the series. In the Takara series, "The Headmasters", he only appears in the first three episodes. "Four Warriors From The Sky", "Mystery Of The Planet Master" and "Birth Of The Dream, The Fantastic Double Convoy Team". He would return in the Takara continuity with "Battle Stars: The Return Of Convoy", a series of Manga comics which were released in 1991.
