Okay, so I'm excited to get the 2011 boxset of the g1 cartoon that's coming out. Do you think there will be a release of the unicron movie soon as well? And who's getting the Beast Wars one too?

coming out? It came out several months ago. Thrice, even!

No. Shout! Facotry said they would not release the 1986 movie due to Sony having already done so a few years ago.

I'm waiting for the complete series box set, as I want the prequel comic.

No such thing exists. Beast Wars Second (not "2") and Beast Wars Neo were never released on DVD. Not even in Japan.

...However, word is that Beast Wars Second is finally getting released on DVD in Japan, a whole thirteen years after its original broadcast in 1998. Though, this DVD set will be a "domestic to Japan" release and most likely will not contain English subtitles (as most Japanese DVDs released in Japan do not).

Well, I was refering to the BW boxset with the timelines comic in it. That's what I wanted to get. And afterwards, I plan on getting the other BW comics like The Gathering and such. And the G1 boxset that came out the same day. But when was the most recent Unicron movie? I'll get that on dvd when I get that G1 boxset.

That's got three different release dates. It was first given away at BotCon this year, back on June 2 through June 5. Then it was released as an online exclusive at Shout! Factory's website on June 7. It will then be released to mass retail on November 1.

Even though those other comics are in a different continuity than the one that comes with the DVD set.

G1 has been released in full by Shout! Factory three times already. First in the 16-disc Matrix of Leadership box set (October 20, 2009), then in four individual season sets (June 16, 2009; September 15, 2009; January 12, 2010; April 20, 2010), and then in a 15-disc complete series set of the four individual sets (May 24, 2011). So yeah, there's no new G1 set coming out, cuz it's already been out.

The 20th Anniversary Special Edition from Sony released back on November 7, 2006

Well, I don't go to botcon or look up other stuff as much. I'm getting it off Amazon when it comes out November first.
