3 computer questions

Postby Uniprimus » Sat Mar 29, 2008 11:24 pm

Got a few questions. Sorry if I sound like a n00b asking them.

1. Today I turned on my computer to see the toolbar has gotten...well, bigger. How do I make it normal again?

2. How do I change the wireless network name?

3. Firefox or Internet Explorer?

Thanks! :)

Motto: "May God have mercy on my enemies, because I sure as hell won't."
1. Grab the edge, and pull it down.

2. I dunno.

3. I'd say FireFox, but IE'07 has it's perks too.

1-As Shadowman said, just pull it down, if not it could be your resolution settings i spose.

2-If you want to change the SSID (Wireless network name) you need to log into your wireless router and do it from there (just open a browser window and enter http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar), you will need to know the password and login though, I'd look at the manual that came with the router for info on how too, its different for every router.

3-I would choose between Firefox or Opera, I've not used IE in years, security has always been a prob with IE, not that Firefox or Opera are bullet-proof, but they are better than IE.

I've just found a site that could help you with your router-Link
Though your router's "site" will differ from the one shown, it will give you an idea (just scroll down to the section Configure the router).
