Anyone else getting CLEAR PROTOFORMS?
I just pre-ordered the import-exclusive clear Protoform Optimus and SS from Bigbadtoystore.
I can't help it. I think they look so awesome in this colorscheme.
Def considering leaving them in-package tho.
Anybody else willing to pay this much for deluxes that they were probably not-to-thrilled-with in the first place?

Their ALT mode may be crap but definetely not their bot modes. No I won't bother getting them at inflated prices.

I tend to not buy figures which represent 'temporary' conditions.
For instance, I won't buy Final Battle Jazz. I buy the character as they are, not in a variety of conditions.
So, $150 for these is right out of the question.

I think their bot modes are pretty horrid too.

The only fun with proto SS ... is seeing if I can transform him without doing what Megs did to Jazz in the movie.
I'm a bit hesitant to open up my double of proto optimus. I'm running out of storage for my loose transformers.

Wow... if they didn't look like Rock Lords before, they certainly have made every effort to correct that error. Course, some of those crystal Rock Lords had pretty good articulation best I recall.
I don't understand the need to make these Figures translucent. Is this suppose to represent their appearence as they entered Earth's atmosphere?

I guess it's because I'm a child of the 80s but, I love this version. I collected Rock Lords, Go Bots, Transformers, but my favorites were Micronauts (Microman). That makes sense because they were all transparent also but with silver heads *LOL*
Rock Lords had a stupid concept but looked cool.
I love these Prototforms. Although, for a 150 smacks, they should've been retooled and made them AT LEAST 12" tall with a "crash site" base. I love the concept of a Protoform taking a different shape but releasing this as a standard size action figure was just cheap.

I was not even tempted to get the originals, and these clear versions tempt me even less.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

I enjoy the idea, and the look. I just can't afford to pay that much for 2 measley deluxes. If they were say, even $20 a piece, I'd jump on 'em.

I'm quite the completionist with this movie line, but have decided that these aren't welcome in my house. I'm even having a hard time to swallow the idea of those movie battle scenes.
ridiculous prices for those protoforms. I've dropped over 3k on TF's in the past 3 months and STILL won't go there. Gotta draw the line somewhere, may as well be with that protoform trash. Mmmmm, okay ... I'm getting them.
nah, seriously. no freakin way.

ditto good sir. our collecting ideas are intersetingly similar.
