In the cartoon, do we actually know (or even approximately) where the 'Bot and 'Con bases are located? I've heard the Ark was somewhere in Washington while the Nemesis was somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. I've checked out the TF Wiki, and they say, according to the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers manga (hell of a title right there), that the 'Bot HQ is supposedly located in Arizona. That, however, is arguable.

So, do we actually know where they are?

Well, it was stated in at least one episode that 'con HQ was in the Atlantic. As for the Ark, not really. The comics and some other G1 stuff has it at Mount Saint Hillary, a fictitious volcano in Oregon. But nothing in the animated series.
