Classics Grimlock Review
The big guy finally came in the mail today. I have to say, I don't know what the complaints are about with him. His feet are not that bad. Nice transformation, and there is a nice place to keep his tail in the back. Me Grimlock like new toy! I'd rather have his dino head as his feet than have it hanging off of him somewhere. It's all good.

Agreed, I think Grimlock is quite awsome. Certainly one of the cooler Transformers released, a good rendition of a really cool character. If you didn't know, Classics Grimlock is homaging the Pretender version more than the G1 version.
The only thing I don't like is the missle, and the gun looks way cooler without it.
Hmm, wonder what Grimlock from Transformers animated will look like?

I dont see why the screwed around with grimlock so much, they could of just taken the design for the old mold and just reworked it.. all the old on needed was for his waist to turn around, his head to be movable and for his arms and legs to be more movable like the new toys. Sounds like mostly all they had to do is work on the joints but no, they had to screw with a great thing.
I like the new grimlock, dont get me wrong, but I just love the G1 grimlock so much more...and like i said, just wish he was more posable

Heh, that's kinda like me and Alt/G1 Smokescreen. Smokescreen's one of my favorite characters, but I like the G1 version just a hair more than the alt. version. Probably cause it's not as complex to transform. And also cause the Alt. doesn't really fit into scale anywhere except Masterpiece.

I kinda consider Masterpiece/Alt. to be one scale.

Am I the only one that wishes Hasbro would use the same scale on all their transformers lines?
And I dont mean by robot mode......vehicle mode.
They should just figure out how big they want Optimus and Megs in vehicle/gun mode and go from there... You put the movie Bumblebee in car mode up against optimus, ratchet or Ironhide and you scratch your head.......then you place him up to even Barricade in car mode and you cant help but call B.S.

The 2008 Bumblebee seems like it is larger and on par with Barricade. I don't thing the '74 BB was really meant for being in scale, it is just done for the sake of doing. '08 BB is the real deal, and the main form of the character in the end.
In any case, despite the differences between G1 Grimlock and new Grimlock, I really like the new Grimmy-maybe even more than the G1 Grimmy. I guess it's because of the different transformation.
