I've been wondering about this for a while now, but are double posts okay on this forum? Not talking about those accidental ones or those in-your-own-creative-thread ones, of course. I see it happen quite a lot, even from like, news staff people, without anyone really saying much about it. Mostly happens when people want to quote more than one person, but instead of just jamming it into one post it becomes two. Just wondering.

Then there's another thing I've seen pop up a lot and it's like... is this okay? I'm talking about people quoting posts that include endless, and endless pictures, just to add one line of commentary [example]. Necessary? Doesn't seem like it. Allowed? Who knows.

I don't really see these kind of things slip through the moderators on other forums, so I guess I just want to know if this stuff flies around here.

Still trying to track down what's causing it but in some places you have the topic preview when you're replying (and you can hit quote on multiple posts) and then on some you don't, so people will just be doing the multiple quoting.

The accidental quoting shouldn't happen, it WAS a problem but Ryan pegged it down. Happens occasionally though.

It's allowed. It is annoying though. It comes down to courtesy.

Do people really think it's an issue that needs to be addressed?

Just so ya know, I don't usually quote I just reply in thread.
Reason being that editing's a pain on the DS, no copy-pasting ability that I know of. I'de have to retype your whole post then cut it up into lityle bitsm etc.

Topic preview doesn't appear until you press "Preview" to preview your post. Hope that helps.

Not quite: it only appears when you make a reply via the "Reply" button. It doesn't appear when you use the "Quote" button beforehand.

Yes, but if you "Quote" and then "Preview", it'll be there.
