Some Transformers seem to be part of a pre-existing team perhaps their entire existence they have spent with their team mate for example Runabout & Runamuck.

But some of them are more a matter of an event or convenience and sometimes there is even situations where a character moves to another team or another team member is added to the team ( Like Rotor or Alpha Bravo to the Aerialbots) or one is removed like Paddles.

For example the Transmetals being a sub-group was more of a convenience if even had panned out slightly differently different characters might have become Transmetals or not.

So Take the Headmasters - perhaps the Autobots were just a random group of (cerebros or) Fort max's followers who due to an even became Headmasters - this even does not happen then the character never becomes a Headmaster.

Where as the "Horrorcons" are still a team (possibly one including Ape face and Snapdragon as well) if only because they share a theme with regard to their alt modes.

It might be the case that some Micromasters when downgraded didn't know their team-mates at all and only grouped with them for combat convenience and personal safety and to compensate for their smaller size. Where as others may be a pre-existing team before the down-grade.

So I just wanted to make a thread and ask which characters do you think were pre-existing teams and which were thrown together by an event ?

Runamuck and Runabout are probably spark brothers like the Jumpstarters and Lambo twins.

I like to think that Lightspeed from the European Motorvators is the Technobot having either been transferred to a separate team or after some tragedy that saw the other Technobots destroyed.

Id have preferred to see Tracks and Backstreet made brothers rather than Tracks and Needlenose.
