I ask because I recently purchased one MISB on Ebay for 25 bucks. As with most collectors, I experience buyer's remorse quite frequently (comes with the territory I suppose) and I haven't been able to find many reviews on the toy. The two that I HAVE found bashed the toy for cheap plastic and the fact that it's hard to stand up.
The seller is willing to refund my money if I want, but I'm not sure if I want to listen to those reviews or some of the posters on this board.
So, should I ask for my money back before the item ships? How good of a toy is this guy? I was really looking for another dragon to keep my RID Galvatron company.

not hard to stand up at all - helped by the fact hes a tripod. The drill on his back touches the ground in most poses. looks good with the other predacon leaders, his proportions are more chunky in comparison to RiD galvatron and constantly grimaces like a ninja turtle but with his weapons and wings youll find loads of ways to pose him

Thanks for the info. Also, if you don't mind, is the plastic quality cheap? I got a BW2 BB and Starscream and their plastic quality is horrible. It's so bad I assumed they were knockoff's at first. If Galvatron's plastic is as bad as theirs, I may reconsider.
Oh, and how's the dragon mode? I've seen pics of it online, but I'd like to know how you think it looks in person. I keep my RID Galvatron displayed in the 2 headed dragon mode, so I was planning on keeping BW Galvatron in his dragon mode as well.

Ill get my camera out late but if you like dragon tfs you may like this picture i took before when a similar topic came up
The plastic quality is great even on the korean release. Looks good displayed next to RiD megatron due to the similar color schemes and spark crystl/magic marble in the centre of their chsts in obot mode

wow. where do i begin with this figure?
i purchased this toy mainly because a seller at our local forums offered this to me loose, bundled with Lio Convoy (who was my main draw) for $ 35.00. pretty cheap if you ask me and the price is good even for Lio Convoy alone. i was thinking that as soon as i get this toy, i'll be selling it to another collector because i don't really collect Destrons that much...
but when i got this toy, imagine my surprise at its heft (it's heavy for its size) and plastic quality! simply put, the plastic's good, if not better, than the current Transformer releases. and the purple color grew on me too, but maybe that's a personal preference there.
as a display piece, this Galvatron ROCKS. sure, you need the drill in robot mode for it to stand properly, but it works that way.

this toy comes with cool gimmicks, my favorite is the "drilling action" activated by a very tall push button at the drill's base. the dragon tail also launches Galvatron's 2 axes and the huge claw/dragon wing can close/open like a real claw.
joints are pretty tight and sturdy on mine, as most of it are ratchets.
the best draw on this IMHO is the dragon mode, he's got a POSEABLE neck! also don't be fooled by its chicken leg appearance; he's very stable on this mode, and looks amazing and intimidating at the same time. you can do lot's of fun poses in this mode.
all in all, i got this toy for a steal and have no regrets whatsoever about him. he's one of the coolest triple changers ever!

Megadave, that setup is AWESOME! I was thinking about getting TM2 Megatron so I could have 3 dragons total, and that pic has pretty much confirmed my purchase. Awesome...that's all I can say. Who are the other dragons though? I don't recognize them.
And thanks to you as well Zemper. I was worried about the plastic quality (that was my main worry) and you've helped my decision. I'll let the seller know that I still want him. Geez...now I can't wait to get him.

the light blue one is cryo scourge from the cybertron series
In the centre is Beast machines megatron (bit of a down grade from his transmetal 2 form)
The long serpenty one is gigano dragon - not a tf but an transforming figure from the dinozaurs line

Odd, I've found many a review that paints this figure in nothing less than a near perfect light...
I myself bought one only a few weeks ago, and he has become one of my favourite figures, from all lines. He is a solid figure, and does weigh quite a bit, but it does not affect his balance or posing abilities.
The gimmicks on this guy are great too, lots of fun is to be had during transforming and while his Drill mode is rather phallic, you can still tell it is meant to be a drill.
Congrats on the purchase, I would suggest to go with your want of a TM2 Megatron, the pair of figures look great with one another.

no problem!i think this toy is one of the most underrated Galvatrons ever. simply oodles of gimmicks on this toy (and did i mention it has gatling guns at the knees?), plus, it's got a funky marble-like orb at it's chest. the dragon mode is one of the best ever. and mind you, i got mine second-hand, so you can see the toy's quality - not a single scratch on my version.

i wish i had dragon mode pics of this but Seib's galleries will do for now...
