I was ay Costco with my grandparents
I was at Costco with my grandparents and their friend from Wisconsin. I was walking around eating lunch, what some of you may call "taking samples", when I passed by some Optimus/BB/Jazz three packs. Not just some --- en enormous stack. It looked really cool --- Prime looked smaller than I had seen him before, and smaller TFs are the ones I prefer. Alas, I had forgotten my wallet, which I still can't find, and I wasn't about to ask my grandmother to get it for me. So, I played around with the automorph for a little while, and went on my way to finish lunch.
As I strolled on over to the oatmeal-cranberry bites and mini brownie samples, I passed a huge shopping cart with two small Asian children in it. They looked like twins, no more than three years old. Sitting between them was Optimus. And Jazz, and Bumblebee. I got so pissed. I knew that that masterpiece of engineering would end up with loose joints and missing pieces, strewn across a grotesquely vibrant, multicolored children's bedroom carpet in a matter of weeks. Or days. I pictured the little snots bashing it against some other toys wildly, "playing", while screaming out different sound effects. I was even angrier when I realized that they wouldn't be able to transform Optimus, and it would forever exist in a permanent state of truck/robot flux shortly after being taken out of the package.
And Jazz? Bumblebee? Probably chewed on or swallowed. Stupid little brats, with their blank, drooling faces. Stupid lardass father, buying such a thing for his inarticulate offspring. Should have stuck with Playskool. Dicks.
On a side note, the oatmeal-cranberry bites were good.

Sounds interesting. Link?

C'mon Dispensor.
Toys are toys. They are meant to be taken out of the box, and to be played with kids. Whether it's Transformers or Lego, toys are going to be played with by little toddlers. So what if it's going to break? It's not like it's yours.
Chewed up and spit out? C'mon? Do you even know if these kids have problems like that?
Stop being a stereotypical bastard towards children and lighten the hell up. Kids need to have fun, just like me and you.
How does this sound? "Don't blame the kid's parents for buying Transformers for them, why don't you blame Costco for having such a freaking ridiculous low price."
Sounds pretty stupid eh? To me, your post sounds exactly like that. Take things in stride and quit bitching about things like that

I had cousins who'd always come round and mess up my toys when I was little. I always hid my TFs. Only one that got damaged was Galvatron and that was in an unrelated incident involving a piece of timber temporarly stored in my bedroom, and me diving to safety. Thank the Matrix for Powermaster Prime and his brick-ness.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

It's just jealousy and a natural intolerance for little kids speaking. Kids do need to have fun, but I don't think crying over not being able to turn the robot into a truck is a very good way to have fun.
And just in case you weren't aware, that whole "chewed up or swallowed" bit was just there to add some extra emphasis. What the hell kind of toddler can swallow those things?

Heh, okay Dispensor. Sorry I kinda went AWOL on you, didn't mean it at all. It's just that there's this guy on the boards who's really pissing me off right now. But what you envisioned there on your original post does happen in real life. Seeing as all the Robot Heroes belonging to my cousin don't have arms anymore.

Wait a minute... I'm not understanding why it's such a crime for these two kids to own one Prime. Honestly, if they were twins and had two Primes in the cart I'd see no harm. Were they screaming or whining or rolling around on the floor like that other guys story? I mean, if they're well behaved and respectful of people and their toys, where's the harm? And well, it's not like it was the only Prime set in the store.
I had plenty of TFs and GI Joes by the time I was 4 or 5. And honestly, it wasn't until I got older and didn't care so much about my old toys that things got lost or broken.
Besides, by age three Asian children are already being scouted by NASA and Civil Defense Programs. In five years they'll be saving your butt from some doomsday space debris.

It's alright, I did come off sounding like a prick in my post. It's just that the thought of these awesome things that all of us love ending up neglected and in pieces nearly brings a tear to my eye.

Hey, hey, what did I say about stereotypes!

But ya, even by age 21 and by the time I graduate in whatever post-secondary i'm taking, there's no way i'm gonna be scouted by the government.
Sure, there's much love for smart asian people, but when it comes to normals asian kids a.k.a. 'failures' like me, there's absolutely no love.

Ok here's G1Blaster's story Disepnsor dude
But ya, It kinda nut punches me when I see a lil kid wanting a Tf cause I know it'll stay in robot/car mode like that Tf has some illness and is easily distracted while transforming to watch a butterfly fly by.
It's just we respect Transformers more cause of our age and we know the awesomeness they have, but when we were kids we trashed toys..I think o.o
G1Blaster wrote:Hell no. Every one who knows me knows my hobby. The best part is no one says anything bad about it because they all think I'm insane because I have 'Criminally Insane' tattooed on my back.
Also, a little off topic but still kinda on it. One time I had a rotten day at work. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. But it didn't matter. I was going to Wal-Mart after work and get the Prime VS Meg Classics box. So I'm in the store in a foul mood but I pick up the box and start to feel better. I take it up to cashier and the guy asks me if this is for my son or something. I told him no that I collect TFs and have been almost my whole life. He starts giggling and says....
"You mean you collect toys? You spend your money on toys for kids? What is wrong with you?"
Something inside my snapped. I reared back and decked him. Now I've been in many fights in my life because of my temper but I swear to you that I don't think I have ever hit a man so hard. My arm actually hurt from my hand to my elbow after I did it.
Needless to say this caused a scene, I was supposedly banned from the store (even though I still go in there now) and sent to county jail for a 24 Hour Cooling Period. As soon as I got out, I went to a different Wal-Mart and got the box. Luckily that guy didn't press charges.
So the moral of the story for the young ones on this board is never to be ashamed of your hobby, even if you nearly have to kill a man to defend it.

Well, I didn't quite trash my TFs at that age. I took relatively good care of them, but I can't remember anything in great detail.

Bah... you're only a failure when you accept the branding.
Still, its unsettling to know Mankinds last, best hope for long term survival is slowly becoming like the rest of us fat, lazy jerks.
Back on subject, they are toys, and toys are meant to be played roughly with, destroyed and replaced with shiny new toys. That's why Hasbro cranks out so many of these things.

That's Excellion. This is a leader class Optimus Prime. From what I hear, pretty damn hard to transform.
And not all Asains are smart. I bet if I looked really hard, I could find a few who get, like, B's on their report cards.

Just yesterday. It was a freaking huge mound.
Whatever happened with that rumor of a blade bing included with the 3-pack? I didn't see one.
