Motto: "Chaos... is coming!..."
My initial reaction was, "I don't want to transform this guy anymore." Despite that, I have loved buying and posing every last one. Well, the ones that CAN be posed that is. Certainly one of my favorite TF lines ever. Oh, and Smokescreen holds a special place to me. He was one of the last things I got with Christmas money from my grandfather before he passed. If, I can ever only save one thing from my home being destroyed, it'd be that.

I have to admit, I recently sold my Alternators (except for Shockblast). I loved them when they first came out but the more I bought the more I grew tired with them. After a while, they all started to look the same and they really didn't hold enough charm for me. Basically, I just became bored with them as when they were displayed on my shelf they all looked very samey. Technically, they're brilliant but they're not the line for me anymore.

I am afraid to break mine when transforming, so they stay in their respective modes. But, they are indeed cool, so cool i bought about 10-20 of em lol.

Prowl sucks though (alternator) He's going in the back of the case.

Weapon: Sniper Rifle
One of the best lines ever, and the first line that I committed to being a completionist about, with the exception of the different BTs and KISS line... Still riding the fence about e-hobby Mirage, too. Anyway, I just love people's reactions when they ask if I collect model cars and I say, "Oh yeah? Watch what else it does..."

Good times! Great TFs!

My first thought, and still a current thought was/is:

'I hate you for this mom. You didn't get alt Smokescreen when we saw him. And now that he's nowhere, it's gonna cost me around £40 to get him in the future.'

These rock. They are worth scouring the internet for hours to find the one you want.

Alternators have gone down £10 since the line stopped, surprisingly, I see Swindle and Shockblast the most.

My first reaction was definitely *meh*. Then I bought Ricochet a month ago, and now I totally dig them. Ricochet is what I wished the Prowl and Smokescreen G1 toys were like when I was a kid. Of course the line is now ending and prices are through the roof. I only have 6 of them, but I guess that will have to do.

I only have Nemesis Prime for now. Perhaps someday, I'll buy some Alternators. Silverstreak seems to be next on the list, though. :D

The Acura is a great mold. Prowl wouldn't have been my choice for a character, but the figure itself is awesome.

My first thought in trying to transform Smokescreen:
"Well, here goes nothing..."
Followed by:
"Huh, that didn't break after all."

And 30 minutes later:
"Finally. Well, I hope he enjoys being in bot mode cause odds are I'll never get him back into alt mode."

My first figure from this line was Binaltech Grimlock. I chose him because I drive a silver '06 Mustang GT.

I didn't know what to expect when he arrived.

Long story short ... I have about 15 alternators now. Amazing figures!!!

I get what people are saying about them all looking the same/similar. Yeah, it's called "pure awesomeness" and they kept using it.

really though, some molds are great ... some are not. If you are new to the line, start by getting 1 of each mold. This way you'll save money on the ones that you don't like.

4 molds that are guaranteed to please;

- Mustang GT
- Ford GT
- Scion Xb
- Mazda RX8
- AQS

I bought Rumble on impulse...he shows the promise of the Alternators line, because I'm sure that there are better ones, but he's only kinda "Meh"...I love the fact they're all in scale with one another, tho.

My Alt collection is small, and I would like to expand it, but since there is only really 1 online store that sells them in Australia, and they do not restock older figures, I dont have much choice unless I wish to pay exorbitant shipping prices.

Luckily I did get Hound, Jazz and Silverstreak, only missing a 'Stang.
