Watched AoU yesterday.
Enjoyed it quite a bit, but it did have it's flaws.
The second the Helecarrier appeared, i thought "That's going to be Theta Protocol" and after watching AoS this morning, yep. Too bad they didn't have Keonig on board during the rescue, as that would be just enough of a continuity nod that would have been good for fans with out Josh having to get pissy that the big bosses brought Coulson back to life.

Lanyard guy, played by Patton Oswalt:

Well actually he plays all three of them, triplets Eric, Billy, and Sam. If you recall, Eric was killed by Ward in Season 1.
Despite his few brief appearances I think I like him better than most of the regulars on the show....

They need to commercialize that compression algorhithm.
Remember back around Marvel TF#24? Op died during a VR game but his persona was saved on a disc......no mention of the memory capacity though

Just recon it to say that Optimus uploaded his memory banks to some remote detached server and the disk was just a key to access that terminal for uploading it back to a new body.

Yeah but even back then the hard drives only held about 100gb and were the size of a semi.

But in Nebulos, Hi-Q and his crew used the same disc to upload Op into his PM body.......

I watched AOU this weekend, and I must say, this is how action movies should bee. As long as you remember what is main target audience, yous should be fine. Of course I wish they would give more time for Ultron becoming a bad guy, but beside this movie was really enjoyable. Ironically, the best part was propably beggining, since it was unexpected to see so much action early in the movie, and ending was bassicaly the same thing was saw three years ago. Also, the scene when Vision gives Thor his hammer was pure commedy gold.

What is love? Baby don't hurt me, Don't hurt me, no more.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
I thought the SHIELD finale was pretty good. Doesn't make up for the season by a long shot though:
-There were people, with powers! And interesting fight sequences because of that! Amazing how that works isn't it?
-Mockingbird's almost break out was rather exciting too, though in hindsight they didn't really build up this encounter that much. I mean yeah Mockingbird was seen when Agent 33 was getting brainwashed earlier in the season(I think), but other than that I don't think they even really hinted at any animosity. I think she had more of a connection to May if anything cause of the stolen face thing.
-Xia-ing(sp) killing Raina was kinda weak. Unless she isn't dead, which would be a nice twist. I don't know, for a character that's been in the show as long as her and had some nice makeup effects it seems like kind of a meh ending.
-Speaking of endings, I really, really like Mr. Hyde's resolution(though it is kinda sad). Maybe it's cause I liked his hammy performance but I never really thought of him as a "bad" guy, and the full on Mr. Hyde moment where he was ripping through Shield's headquarters was cool. Overall, I've always liked villain redemption stories, and if they need to bring him back they always can.
-Gordo's end was one Nightcrawler always feared. Pretty creative I thought.
-The Phase Two "Empire Strike's Back" homage continues! Coulson lost an arm! Did not see that coming!
-So it seems like next season they're going to look for more powered people(at least the first four or so episodes, then hem haw around again...gee I hope not). If nothing else this could be some very good build up for Civil War, as there's plenty of air time to introduce and characterize some heroes that can be featured in the film.
-I wonder how the Fish Oil stinger will come into play? Since it was extremely diluted through water and distribution, will it automatically turn people to stone, or is that how their going to introduce new heroes/villains?
-And finally, Jemma was eaten by the goop stone. And that's how they end it. I have no idea what's going on there, and I hope it doesn't turn into another situation where we have to wait weeks upon weeks for a proper resolution.
-Couple other thoughts: Remember Graviton? Was not seen in this season at all. And Deathlok disappeared...again.

I don't think it'd be lethal, otherwise the fish would have been turned to stone.

How do we know that school of fish wasn't descended from fish that were experimented on by the Kree?

And when they were panning down into the water, my first thought was "Triton"!
To continue with the water theme, remember the Rising Tide from Season 1? The hacker group Skye was part of? Whatever happened to them?

I would assume that, like a real life hacker group, they're not nearly dangerous enough to warrant SHIELD's full attention over HYDRA or the Inhumans. Once Skye left, there was no real reason to focus on them.

The MCU version, quite possibly.
At the very least, it seems She'll be heading a powered strike team. Reina did say she'd be a leader of their people, and there is a number of ways that can be interpreted.
It would appear however that any team she's placed with is more to be a SHIELD team than one under the Avengers, unless they plan to have the shows and movies interact more and Daisy is moved to the new Avengers facility Cap is running at the end of AOU.

The show really struggled to hold my interest this season. It needs a little more interaction with the movies. I'm hopeful my next seasons has a lot more tie in with Civil War.

Indeed. if anything they left us waiting for season 3 with some good plot threads dangling.
And even thought i've said it before but damn Kyle must had had fun playing Cal. They easily could have had him go full on Hyde and needed to put him down but instead they gave him a brilliant storyline for these 2 episodes, and even gave a decent send off. I guess it's time for him to go fine a nice cup of coffee.

Bit late now but my thoughts on AoU.
-loved it, far preferred it to the first one. It actually made me care about black widow and hawkeye. A few critisms though, like quicksilvers death, it reeked of "we have to kill someone" rhetoric. Thors vision as well, a little too vague though it helped in my argument to convince people that there was two infinity gems in avengers one (to be fair they were set on the cosmic cube).
So, where do people think the last two gems are going to turn up?

Maybe the fact that the mind gem came directly out of Loki's scepter helps your argument?
To be fair, though, what was their to go on before AoU to think there was another Infinity Stone in the first one? I always assumed the scepter was powered by the Tessaract.
As for the last two...what do we have, the Time stone and the...Soul gem? I haven't the foggiest idea which Phase 3 (or 2, Ant-Man still counts) movie they'll show up in. I do however hope that the Time stone is handled well and that the probable time-travel hi-jinx are coherent enough to be awesome yet still presented in a way that will confuse and confound viewers...in fact, Christopher Nolan should probably direct that one.

Well loki had the sceptre while the cube was on earth, so I always had the thought they were separate. Though that is something that bugged me. Thanos clearly had one of the gems and just let it go?
see I think soul gem could play a part in doctor strange...almost. Though I doubt guardians two will have the gems in it. Actuality I believe one of the final two gems will be the macginguffin in infinity war part 1 (aalong with Thanos ripping the mind gem the visions head).
Or they could surprise everyone and have one of the gems appear on the small screen like in the Defenders

Oh. My. God. That thought never even occured to me! Now Shadowman's gonna call me out on a small detail that I should've noticed!

Though that is something that bugged me. Thanos clearly had one of the gems and just let it go?
I think the understanding was that Loki would actually win. Although it does seem like a lot of trust for a roided-out space lord mother mother to place in a demi-god on a mission to a planet he clearly knows little about. Maybe he just wanted the thrill of having to collect it again?
see I think soul gem could play a part in doctor strange...almost. Though I doubt guardians two will have the gems in it. Actuality I believe one of the final two gems will be the macginguffin in infinity war part 1 (aalong with Thanos ripping the mind gem the visions head).
Or they could surprise everyone and have one of the gems appear on the small screen like in the Defenders
i wish they would introduce one. And AoS might even be a better platform on which to do a time-travel mission. Doctor Who Crossover, anyone?
Back at it again!
