I'm sorry MF, but I just think it's a hard sell for Dinobots now. You've got at least 2 companies working on MP-scale figures (FansToys and GigaPower), Planet X and their FoC Dinobots (which is taking quite some time but still), the recent reveal of FansProject's Lost Exo-Realm, and Hasbro/Takara's Age of Extinction line (ok, I jest on that last one).
I feel the market is flooded right now. Going for a Classics feel, your true competition is FansProject. The alt mode designs for your figures leaves me unimpressed because they look too basic. For example, "Gunk"'s body is very tube-like, the legs look like there are no knee joints, and as others have said the face looks goofy.
To put it another way (and I hope this makes more sense), these figures look more like G1 molds that have been provided extra articulation instead of the Classics approach which is a modern interpretation of G1 figures that has lots of articulation. It's the difference between using Crazy Devy add-ons for Devastator instead of purchasing MakeToys' Giant or TFC's Hercules. I'd rather modern interpretations than more articulated G1, which I do own a bit of already.
If these had been released about a year earlier, I think you would've had potential buyers. As it is now, the competition is very fierce and as these figures are higher priced items than retail figures I find it difficult to put my money towards your offerings.

Do you know something we don't about these? Or are you just supposing?
MF said they were in CHUG scale. So they will be much smaller than the other 10 inch tall 3rd party MP Dinobots and cost less.
X, wants the MF Dinobots bigger than the 7.5 FP Dinobots. Which means he wants the MF versions to be 8 to 8.5. 8.5 according to HasTak is MP Dinobots Grimlock toy scale.
If MF labels 8 to 8.5+ inch MP Dinobots as Chug then it's incorrect. The correct name should be MP, As they are in scale with HasTak 8.5 MP Grimlock.
Oh, so ... it's just your math, then?
Saying "CHUG scale" is very problematic because it means different things to different people. There are even two different almighty scale charts - one with HUGE dinos and one with Dinos the size of Prime. And, as far as I can tell, BOTH are supported by the cartoon!
MF listing them as CHUG scale was mostly a hint to buyers. That their Dinobots will be much smaller than the MP FT Dinobots
you don't know this! unless you were the guy who wrote those words in the first place, or were the guy who told that guy what to write, or the guy who okayed it being released from the company.

MechaForm
We read the comments so far and think that Paddle would make a great first release. Paddle is for us a classic / generations scaled figure. Paddle stands 25cm head to toe and is the tallest of our Dino Mechs ( along with Gunk ). The shortest is MF-05 clocking in at about 19cm tall.
All feedback and comments are appreciated and we look forward to more.

Don't like the robot mode. Think it's got badly placed dino kibble all over the robot mode. would have preferred the dino tail be put on the sides of the lower legs not in the front.
That smiley, overly happy robot face has got to go.
Clocking in at 25 cm means the robot mode gets rounded of to 10 inches tall. Probably the price will be a lot as a result. might as well get the superior MP Dinobots instead.
Guessing MF-05 is swoop. who is the shortest and stands 7.4.
From MF's wording it looks like these dinobots won't be made in the same scale. Looks like their going to be made in three different scales, Voyager, Ultra and leader. Some fans are not going to like this.

Except MF doesn't have the benefit of a good looking combined form.

Think MF, so far have made Two Ugly, weird, terrible robot modes.
It's a shame, Since I thought MF had more G-1 AND better looking Dino modes than FP did

Nah, not buying these. They look like everything wrong with G1. I appreciate the attempt at a Diplodocus mode (and PADDLES...who I only know about through TFWiki...) but, nah.
Might be worth sticking around till we see them in plastic though. These are very early work after all. Probably going for the FP ones though- Columpio looks great.

This was the third Classics Dinobots! I was racking my brain for a while, then forgot to search the forum. So, we have Toyworld, FP, and Mecha Form. Then Planet X is doing the FoC crew, which some were talking about as their classics Dinobots.

After Toyworld revealed their own very G1 inspired set I don't think this has much hope, sad to say. Both are well known names. And toyworld is trying to do exactly what these guys are trying to do.

Hmm, I *might* buy Paddles, but that's it. I'm already all in on PX's Dinobots and most likely Toyworld's as well. If either of those companies does a decent Paddles or FP does, then I'll probably get it instead. Sorry MF, it was a valiant effort, but probably a bad choice unless these are priced really cheaply because there's just way too much (superior?) competition right now.

You know what I think the problem is? They're TOO G1-accurate. The toys and their cartoon models actually had very awkward designs and engineering, with huge blocky feet and useless dino-legs. I admire their attempts to make them fit in with the G1 aesthetic, but it doesn't work- mainly because the old designs didn't really work either.
Not-Snarl looks OK, especially in stegosaurus mode, and not-Paddles actually looks really good (I actually kinda like the derp-face, but then that might be because I've always viewed the Dinobots as very silly, comic relief characters) but not-Swoop looks a bit too blocky, and not-Sludge...his body looks passable, but the dino legs need serious work.
I think they'd actually look really good next to retro toys like G1/G2 Transformers, Machine Robo/Gobots, maybe some Brave figures and older Super Sentai figures and the like.

Re: Mecha Form - Classics Dinobots
Think the Dino modes are great. Think when they transform to robot modes then when the disasters start.
Those movie verse bent distorted black robot legs look bad on snarl. that undersized red shirt with the buttons and beer belly are both weird things to sculpt on a toy. that old man zombie looking face doesn't help matters.
Paddles, I feel can at least be saved and made better. If someone like SXS creates a better serious robot face. If theirs a way to hide the huge dino tail on the lower robot legs, maybe turning the lower legs around 360 degrees. or just remove the dino tail and maybe use it as a robot hand weapon.

That's a good question. I think they would have to go significantly lower than $60 for me to be interested. For instance, the IT Tetra Jets were interesting to me as 'toon accurate pre-earth seekers. Yet, there were a number of problems with then that I was not even considering them at their original price, what $60? But, at $20 a piece, and partially on a whim, I bought the bunch. I think I would say the same here. These are nice looking, but seem to pale to FP and PX in design and detailing. If these were the only ones, I might be tempted. If these were more like around $20, I'd probably buy them even with FP and PX offerings.
Oh, and I cannot forget ToyWorld. Theirs look good too.
It's nice to have decent choices!!

I'm dissatisfied with the renders we've seen so far. It could be usual retail price and I think I'd skip them. It's not that I *want* to pay more, but all the competition looks so much better. Sure, I brought into UT's Predacons when MMC/TFC were taking their time to release, and UT's were more affordable. I just can't do that anymore. Especially not with so many other products vying for my poor earnings.
