My intro/Barricade question...
Hi all. Second post here, as I feel my first post (pg. 141 on Toy Haul Thread) was shunned. :\
Heh, anyhow...I'm quite new to the TF collecting scene. What a place to start, with the movie line. Hasbro already has quite a bit of my money, as I collected the Spider-man 3 line, so here I go again with these TF figures. I do have a BB '76 version, and this Barricade that I'm about to inquire about.
So, I was at Target the day before the TF movie came out. They had a Barricade, who is difficult to come by in this area. They also had his Recon version, which is the one I chose. Should I have gotten the regular one? Whatever the answer, it's too late now, as he was snatched by the next day. San Antonio, TX has quite a few TF fans it seems...thanks to any that read!

Regular version is much better, to be honest. Not only its more faithful to the movie, its what made Barricade being the best looking car mode in the Deluxe movie line. And even in robot mode, while he doesn't have the best sculpt & proportion, he looks better in black.

I see. Well, seeing how I like Barricade, I'll probably pick up the regular one if I get a chance. Hunting for these is quite a task. Now, I understand the following are HTF/VHTF:
Ironhide
Starscream
Scorponok
Jazz
Arcee
BB (any)
Leader (any)
Am I right? Those are the ones I never see, anyway. Just so I can get a heads up. There's only one TRU in town, and one K.B. Toys, so there may still be hope.
Thanks again peeps!

Scorponok is everywhere since people in general don't like it too much. Regular Jazz is not too hard. You are more likely to find them at Walmart, especially the ones that people don't shop as much.

Walmart and Target were overflowing with Transformers in Houston last week but they're gone again because of the movie.
Leader Brawl is a benchwarmer here in Houston. Leader Megatron a little harder to find but not impossible. I haven't been to Costco in a month so I don't know if they still have the crates of Leader Prime.
If you want I can look for them for you. Shipping to San Antonio shouldn't be too bad and Target has a sale until Saturday ($36 leader) so that should balance out some of the shipping costs.

regular version is much better.... just because of the color. the recon one doesn't look too good. its just the same figure painted a differented color. I prefer the police colors.

Wow, good to see so many helpful folks. I, too, have noticed Leader Brawl just hanging out at stores. I managed to get my third figure today, Voyager Megs! Why are Voyagers so hard to find?
videriant: Thanks a lot for the offer. I'm gonna scope out the rest of the town first, then if there are still things I can't find, I'll let you know.
i_amtrunks: Ok, I'll be sure to look out for those...I hope I'm not one. 0_o

I bought them both. But I really like this mold, so what does my opinion count for?
