New Transformer Collector, Which transformers are the coolest to you? ;)

Postby Kingplay » Thu Aug 02, 2007 11:11 pm

I just started collecting transformers for a month now...
So far I am big on the binaltech/alternator/masterpieces.

I also got my share of movie toys...

BUT TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I saw OMEGA PRIME cybertron and Energon's Omega Supreme!

I think they are awesome and I really want to get them.

What other figures would you recommend me take a peek at?

Thanks in advance,
Ed

Well, there's an accurately colored MP Starscream being released in the US for $60 as a Wal*Mart exclusive. You'de be an idiot not to get that. So get it.

The Cybertron line was a great one. Figures from that line is a great place to start.

Devastator gets Knocked-off all the time, and I think of him as one of the most clever combiners made, even if he doesn't have knees.

After being away from collecting a while myself, I found the Classics Magnus/Skywarp two-pack to be pretty sweet, and the Armada Starscream seems cool to me as well.

Before I chime in, how old are you and are you into collecting as a result of G1. If so, I'll toss in my 2 cents. If not, then theres no point as we'd be coming from 2 different angles at this.

I definately like remakes of G1 more than anything else.

I must say that the Classics line is one of the best thought out ones (now that Alts might be over and BT has been for some time - even though we are getting BT-18 Clear Mirage). Classics line though with G1 characters done up with new toy tech. Awesome!
BWOP: "Die-cast construction...It's a lost art!"

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Currently, the Classics line is on of the best. If you haven't seen a Jetfire before. Take a look at it, for it's amazing!

Another vote for Classics. Not really a bad figure in the entire line and the G1iness-but-better should be to your liking as someone returning to the fold. Plus it was the main line that was out right before the movie toys so they're fairly easy to find.

Classics is really one of the better lines. Other than Grimlock which has some flaws , I have to say all of them are really good. The best imho is Jetfire.

Of other lines. Cybertron has a lot to choose from. I particularly like Deluxe Optimus Prime, and Optimus Primal repaint.

classics dude, classics. if you can't get them all, at least get classics Optimus Prime (outstanding playability & hey, it's a semi!) and Jetfire (awesome accessories). 8)

oh, and since you're new at collecting TFs, get/borrow the original G1 series on DVD for a little Transformers history 101. ;;)
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.
