was looking around on bbts when i noticed the foc bruticus is 100 bucks, and the g2 exclusive is 60 bucks.
anyone know the reason or reasons for this?
heard alot of complaints on the figures, but ive always liked bruticus and just cant see passing it up. even considering getting both.

Two reasons, the game accurate set is an SDCC exclusive that started out with a higher price tag and should (theoretically) be more desirable than the G2 homage set(which is still an exclusive between BBTS and Amazon but may have been produced in higher numbers and is somewhat more of an obscure deco).

The one on BBTS that he is referencing is the retail versions. The SDCC version will run you 200+ on the secondary market.
Since the G2 version is a shared exclusive with Amazon as well, they might have negotiated a better price for the set. The retail versions will run you $75 plus tax at retail so $100 price on BBTS is just the usual shipping/profit added markup you see at all online stores.

Ah, gotcha. Then that leaves them with a Jazz and 2 Primes (if memory serves) from the same case that will be tough to get rid of without clearancing since wave 1 stock is rarely hard to come by. Are people seriously paying 200 for the SDCC version? Lunacy. I'm still thinking with all the bad press these guys are getting that I'm only going to pick up 1 version, and at this stage I'm waiting to see what Takara offer in the way of a G1esque colour scheme.

The changed the case assortment. It now has Jazz, OP, and Shockwave (one of each).
