Heres the deal: I don't know why but I decided I'd try out vista since I got a free upgrade copy of Vista Business from friends who go to a University. In June I decided to upgrade to vista. I loved it at first, but after a while it got slower, and slower, and slower, and very obvious bugs started showing up, ie sleep mode becoming "coma mode", Random lock ups with the screen saver and USB devices such as my MP3 player and my phone. I finally got fed up this weekend, backed up all my stuff, and put windows XP back on.
Now I don't believe I had SP3 on my system last time, but this time it actually made updating much quicker and easier. Problem is their is this stupid Magnifying glass in the system tray that "indexes" everything. I've googled and can't figure out how to turn it off! I hit the run command, typed "Services.msc" and to my suprise Indexing services are turned off! So why is it indexing? I've also noticed it adds like 4 or 5 processes to my task manager and I don't like that. I tend to keep my systray as clean as possible to keep my computer running smooth.
So How do I turn this stupid thing off?
