Just a random silly idea I had this morning. What if the Classics line was made up entirely of Generation 1 namesake characters from the Movie?

You'd get:
AUTOBOTS
Voyager: Optimus Prime (or Leader Class with trailer)
Deluxe: Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet and Bumblebee (unless they introduced a Scout class)

DECEPTICONS
Voyager: Megatron ans Scorponok (although ideally Scorpy woiuld be at least Leader class)
Deluxe: Starscream, Bonecrusher and Brawl (the last 2 could be Scouts though)
Mini-Con (Micromaster) Team: Barricade, Blackout and Frenzy (God knows what you'd do with Frenzy when there's no Soundwave though)

Wait, so you are saying to take the movie cast, and that they should be in the CLASSICs line, but with G1 designs?

I was wondering why Scorpie would be so big!

Interesting idea, but just like Frenzy, Brawl and Bonecrusher would need their teams to truly be 'CLASSIC'.

Oh I know the shortcomings of the idea. Blackout would really need Spaceshot too. It just occured to me that every name used in the movie is also the name of a G1 toy, so this could of been an alternative route for classics to take. But Barricade without the rest of the Race Track Patrol? Only 1 Constructicon and Combaticon?

All a bit pointless really, but I had only just woke up when I had the idea, and I had a headache...
