Maybe it's just the late hour and sleep deprivation, but I've started to form a theory.

So we saw Arcee in Animated, but only in a flashback, and her mind got wiped. From that, we can infer that she is possibly still alive, but may have changed into someone quite different.

Remember when we first started getting bits of info about Animated, and we were told that "Blackarachnia starts out as a different character"? Yet, we've already seen BA as herself, and no information yet about her origins.

It's just speculation, and I'm more than likely wrong, but wouldn't it be nifty if blank-slate-Arcee ended up getting reformatted into Blackarachnia?

Yeah, it's probably the sleep deprivation talking.

I can guarantee Arcee is not BlackArachnia, but for spoiler purposes wont explain why. You'll see soon enough in ep 9.

It's a funny idea, given that we've already seen the TM BlackArachnia figure repainted as Arcee, but not one I'd necessarily like to see come to fruition, because then it would just lead to a rehash of "trying to turn the good-girl-gone-bad back to good" thing. And for once I'd like to see a BlackAracnhia who's thoroughly evil.
