I want to know what happened to my old account? I am VERY frustrated with this. I have tried to sign in many times and each time it rejects my user ID, email, and password. I tried to contact Seibertron aka Ryan about this at least 3-6 times and I have not even once gotten an email response. I haven't been able to post since July because of this ongoing aggravation.

My old ID is Hot_Rod and I'd very much like that account back please. It's how everybody knows me.

I miss being apart of this community.

And if anybody knows the punctuation codes to make Hot_Rod look appear like Hot Rod, let me know because right after the movie it was altered to that with a PM tip from a certain member who shall remain nameless unless they feel free to speak about it.

Somebody, please help.

It should have been the same email, although that account had been created in January of 2003, but it was altered with that invisible code to get rid of the underscore (_) in between Hot and Rod in July of 2007 after the movie came out. It's possible that it could be linked to my old email with a comcast.net, or even aol domain. I have had about 6 different emails since 2000 but I thought the one that I've had the longest (same as this profile I'm posting under) was linked to this account. Long time member Raymond T can vouch for my seibertron.com (and real life) identity. What's the email it's under or at least the last date that account posted? If it's 2007 it has to be my account.

The catch is that your username is rather generic ... perhaps if you have an old Energon Pub email that you can forward to forums@seibertron.com, we can take a look at the URLs in the message to see if we can pull out your old user ID. That would help us out tremendously.

We had a staff member on this site who went by the name Hotrod, we also have a different user with the name "hot_rod" that registered in 2008, which means that the name "Hot_Rod" doesn't exist on our site. Usernames are case sensitive when doing a search but they are all unique (i.e. Hot_Rod and hot_rod both cannot exist in the database).

Here's a list of all of the user accounts that start with "Hot_Rod" or "hot_rod"

i'm having a problem opening new posts from my email. When i click the link in email, it's sends me to the log-in page. I log in, and I get a 404 error message page instead of the new thread/post. What's wrong??!!?

The feature "Log me on automatically each visit" doesn't always work for me.The first time I visit seibertron.com after turning my PC on I have to log in manually,then,and after I activate this option,everything works fine until the next time...
Could it be a problem of my browser(Apple Safari 4.0)?

Hey Cobolt, it's not just your posts, I noticed the news is even missing from the 23rd onwards, so I suspect that there was some sort of hardware failure and they had to restore an older backup of the databases. I'm sure they'll be working on trying to retrieve the missing data if it is possible.

Disclaimer: I don't know any of this for a fact, just guessing.

Happened to me for the past couple of days. I AM seeing a bunch of posts from that timeframe you mentioned, but a lot of them are marked as "new" even though I've read them already. Someone definitely spilled Mountain Dew on the servers...

That error should be fixed. There were a couple of database tables that didn't get restored last night / early this morning for some reason. I went through and manually restored the missing tables from my backups.

Data from Wednesday and Thursday was lost. Working on restoring as much as we can. Going to take some time to get the images back up and running as well but at least you guys will be able to post and the news guys will be able to post news.

I hardly ever post unless it is a PM (this is actually my first post to a thread ever) so I havent seen any issues with that yet.

Thank you sir, you just demonstrated to everyone exactly why I, and many like me, dont post to threads and prefer to keep it to PMs. Congratulations.
This particular thread was put in place to report problems on the site, which is exactly what I did. You, however, decided that it would be a good idea to post a sarcastic remark rather than posting something constructive or even remotely intelligent. It is prepubescent "know-it-alls" like yourselves that keep new people away from contributing and thus prevent your own community from growing.
Please, enjoy this small, false sense of victory on me if that makes you feel good about yourself. But I'll tell you this; among many other things, I am a veteran, and a leader of soldiers, and I would love to have the pleasure of meeting with you in person sometime.

I apologize in advance for making an "off topic" post in response to Skippy up there, this will be my last on this thread reguarding this matter and let the tread serve it's intended purpose.
