Ever since this wallet r@ping ( one of seibertron's mods coined the term btw not me)company came to be, I was soooooooooooo hyped to get this. But boy, the price is so, well wallet r@ping indeed!
Well, recently I purchased the CDMW-02 J parts with a couple of free useless parts( I thought I got a bargain but well them is the breaks)
Anyway, I noticed certain issues that I'd have thought, Crazydevy should have dealt with or improved on already (since they've profited already from suckers like me)
1. Price (anyway, with other companies nipping at their heels) should be lowered. I noticed btw since I ordered from them straight from Mongkok Hongkong, the postage cost the equivalent of US$ 3.00 on the bubble wrapped envelop( they charged US$ 9.00) so the profits must be really pouring in.
2. Plastic quality ( with such prices you charge, at least get it to FP level quality)the purple thigh mold sucks!
3. Design. A locking mechanism part should have been included to prevent Longhaul's dumping receptacle from popping out. The original wing/leg connector of Devastator dealt with this.
4. The thigh part needs to have a ratchet joint. The ball joint is soooooooooooooo loose that my Devastator keeps on falling backwards or front, being top heavy.
5. Supposedly compatible with Encore#20 but Mixmaster won't even fit. The housing is soooooooooooo loose!. The hip plate from Longhaul keeps on falling off. The holes that should keep the pegs in place are bigger than the latter.
I may have been too spoiled with FP and Maketoys' quality (with the latter giving the former a run for their money)that you'd think CD would have learned their lesson (wait, they've been here longer than Maketoys) so maybe laying on their laurels too soon?
Anyway, please don't alienate your customers by going the snake oil salesmen route and maintain the quality of your products. Either ship up or loose your customers! There, I said my piece!

All very valid points. I find it hilarious that they've maintained that "flat rate" + $5 for each extra piece. R@pe, indeed!
Look, I suckered out and purchased most pieces for Predaking (excluding the feet, the price and damage to my 2010 reissue really wasn't worth it). One would figure if a company called itself "CrazyDevy", they would do their best work with Devastator. Now, the issues with the Predaking pieces were well publicized, we didn't get much dirt on the Devy pieces except a few wallets with excess bandages. But this company has already made these pieces, if you're going to go out and say that a new set is being issued specific to a new release, then it really needs to be fit for that set. I had a feeling this would happen when CD announced the set and Encore wasn't even released yet.
Sorry you had to take the bullet on this one, but I hope others can benefit from your insight. I really wanted to work on getting a 2nd Devy and then one of the upgrade sets, but CD is way too expensive for all their pieces, already heard that the X-Transbots kit has some problems, and now we're left with Junkion Blacksmith's set to release. JB has the overall lowest price, but would benefit from a larger rifle, swivel waist, and purple or silver thighs instead of green with the colored ridges. Unless I hear some really good reviews, I'll let Hercules be the articulated beast that bleeds green and purple.

I hope this gets stickied.
I'm quite surprised too that a You Tube TF figure reviewer( who has made various video reviews from K.O.s and official releases )failed to mention these issues in his CrazyDevy parts review.
Or any such feedbacks from those who already purchased the item (mind you, this is just for the hip part)
Moral of the story:
You play Russian roulette when dealing with 3rd party products. You win some, you loose some. With every diamond you find like FP,Maketoys or even IGear, you get overpriced clunkers like CD.

Re: Some issues to improve for CrazyDevy's Devastar parts
Sadly, I think a mix of X-Transbot stuff and Crazy Devy stuff would make the most ideal Devestator. And I say sadly because it IS sad when a cheaper KO fixes problems found in the original (namely the legs). Of course I don't have that set, so it may have it's own problems.

Thanks for the reality dose fenrir and what a unfortunate reality it is. I'm one of the suckers that bought all the parts CD produced and bought the ones that are suppose to be G1 compatible knowing that I would soon get Encore Devy. I haven't picked up Devy just yet but knowing that I have all this sh*t to look forward to makes me feel
now that CD got paid in full by all. You would think that after the 3 upgrade attempts by 3 different 3rd Parties someone would have got it right where the others failed.
So at this point since Encore Devy has been out for a while has anyone else had QC issues out of the box? I remember a while back hearing fans claiming they had a figure missing a head...anyone-anyone? And has anyone else had the same issues fenrir described with Enore Devy...anyone-anyone?
