More like different alt modes for his different pieces. Like many prime molds, he has the trailer/ battlestation, the cab/bot and the combination of cab and trailer in alt and superbot modes.

But Nova's Super Robot mode is More like R.I,.D prime, in that the trailer part slips over the body of the regular robot mode, with a few other changes.

Believe me, I've already got my eyes on doing that. Still not real affordable, the cheapest I've seen Prowl is $70.
