Starscream Fangirls- Yay or Nay? (NOT A TROLLING TOPIC!)
IMO, there's a difference between Starscream Fangirls, and Starscream fans who just happen to be girls. Girls who are fans just act normal, and they're all "Oh, I collect Starscream figures because he's cool, and he's an interesting character." Fangirls are what I call the annoying ones who go so far as to call him "Sexy." So with that being said, my vote = OH HELLS NAY! I mean, come on, nothing says "I really need a sex life" than calling an effeminate cartoon robot based off a kids toy sexy.

I fully support Starscream fangirls. People who aren't afraid to admit they love something that much are my kind of people.

Many of the bots are made in our likeness and to appeal. Just take the the wide shoulders and small hips, such things are appealing and sexy to some in humans (I prefer G1 cartoon proportions and nto the offerly "muscly" proportions one sees in some of the comics). When it is sexy on a human, why shouldn't it be sexy on a robot?
It's just a reaction to preprogrammed patterns, like the cuteness of children. It doesn't matter whether it is an animal or a human child or a robot, big head, big eyes generally evoke the "cute" and "protect" reaction.
There's nothing wrong with thinking that Starscream is sexy and it doesn't mean that the person in question doesn't have a sex life. It's just a normal human reaction to humanize and relate to everything.
I always thought more of him as a boyish miscreant, but I meant change my mind after some of the hot and sizzling Starscream fanfiction around (and we'll what my verdict is after I get my grubby paws on MP-06).

Seriously, I don't think it's any weirder than liking hentai, for instance (take that as you will). Sure, the logistical problems would make any kind of human/Transformer relationship completely impractical, and I'm pretty sure that any Starscream fangirl would freely acknowledge that fact, just as any bloke with half a braincell knows that no, Arcee is not a viable partner. But hell, what's wrong with suspending disbelief for a while?

For some reason I'm reminded of this classic scene from Red Dwarf...

well I don't read to much fan fic except for Tekka's because he is making me *throwing a very scornful look) so I don't know a whole lot about slash except it is narsty
Also I used to be a screamer fan girl myself but i slowly got rid of it I don't like Screamer as much, now I like G1 Skywarp and Cyclonus
Hey also I think it is okay for fan girls to say a TF is sexy but if they try to cram it down your throat or ramble on about it all the time or a lot in one thread then yeah it is rather stupid and annoying!
I'm a fan girl too so I get the ways of freaky fan girls lol jk ha ha ha

I am a starscream fangirl, one demolisher seems to dislike, but I don't write/draw that sort of slag. But needless to say, being married for 10 years this november, I do have one hell of a sex life

I enjoying suspending disbelief, it makes life fun.
Edit:
I do not think a persons interest in a fictional character would be any different from a persons interest in a live action fictional character. I also do not think a normal male's interest in nude pictures of females to be any different either. In any event the person's "love" interest is a very unlikely situation.
In real life, I do find rather dangerous guys attractive...well dangerous looking. I enjoy guys who have a sense of adventure and who are not afraid of trying things or going for what they want. My husband is this and I think Starscream is too. Oh, and he is not worried about my interest in Starscream. It's a fun interest and it will never ever happen.
I think if we infringed on each other's fun we'd have issues, but thankfully we don't.

That's exactly what I think! These characters are MADE to appeal to us. It really IS a normal human reaction to humanize and relate to everything.
That being said....
I am a Starscream fangirl.
I have been married ten years and have a wonderful sex life! Yes, my husband is really hot! Yes, he has heard me call Starscream 'Sexy' and he thinks it's crazy in a cute kind of way. Works for me!
Suspending my disbelief makes my life a heck of a lot more fun!

Well, personally, I reckon there's plenty wrong with calling a drawing sexy. That's kinda like me walking up and dry-humping the Venus De Milo. And as for the drawings? Uh, you ARE aware that the drawings, etc, are there to appeal to the CHILDREN who may want to buy the toys, or get their parents to buy the toys for them? You know, seeing how the target audience for Transformers IS kids? And the difference between live action characters and cartoons is far, far different. Live action characters are played by real-life people, they're not moving drawings.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just simply stating it's rather tragic that grown women are fawning over a cartoon robot based off a kids toy.

Well, I think women are attracted to Starscream's personality (the ULTIMATE bad boy) and his design is aesthetically pleasing. I love Starscream myself, but it doesn't go any further than a man's liking of Starscream. There are plenty of other bad mechs that I like.

Now lets see... to get my head free of the cobwebs that settled over a weekend of being rather sick with a bad cold.
There are many things I seriously dislike with the transformer fandom, I would consider it severely perverse, however, I have never once made a topic that was aimed at trolling for possible problems in regards to it. I have on occasion stated my dislike and left it at that. But I have never actually ever tried to start something that could easily turn ugly.
Certain things bug me badly. But I do not attempt to incite a riot.
This will be my last post on open forum of this subject in this thread. If you wish to comment to me about this, then PM is the best. Otherwise, I do not feel the need to defend my point of view, nor do I feel it even worth trying. You obviously have your opinion, as I have mine. Why I would like Starscream and how, is of no concern of yours.

Fair point- but still, Transformers comics are aimed at dudes. And in any case, Starscream? If anything, chicks SHOULD be going for Bender. Sure, he's not a Transformer, but he's a real man's robot. Starscream makes even the most feminine woman look like a dude. I mean, Starscream's an alright character, but IMO, I'm tired of Starscream, there's too much Starscream, he's overdone, and he's a pansy. I rekcon most wirtesr are ignorant of the fact that there are female Transformers fans out there, since the writing is quite obviously geared towards dudes. And why are there no girls in Toy commercials for Transformers? Seriously- writers and artists are't doing anything in Transformers for females. I think a few to many of them bypass Seibertron and don't realise it, but like ,every new member that pops up is most likely a female.

to think that girls find starscream "sexy" is strange. same goes for the guys who fancy arcee. robots aren't meant to float your boat. and seriously, those girls who just absolutely love starscream to death should really calm down. he's a robot, and he's not even real!

Shut your trap, kid.
And don't go telling us to fall for a robot that's no better than Starscream is, ok? Also, if you had your way, there would have be NO Transformers fandom, let alone a PG-13 live-action movie OR several BUSY TF forums because you still consider Transformers to be baby stuff for little boys that we should have outgrown a long ago.

Anyway, Starscream IS sexy (whether it's intentional or not) because of his lean, winged body with those hot boots of his as well as his saucy attitude and behavior.
And, we do NOT have to think only saints are the sexy kind, nor the marrying kind. It IS a fantasy that we all enjoy regardless of the character's original character development, of course.
Like some of us said here, some of the most adoring Screamy fangirls are ALREADY happily married, BTW.
My two cents - and remember the rules, ok?

Starscream is just entertaining in particualar to women, he has a lot of character and is often quite funny. He does have that "ideal" male form: wide shoulders, small waist, if you really want to look into that perspective. For me, he's another interesting character. But it's difficult for me to find a Transformer I honestly don't like....well, I could name a few..
Wait...we should like Bender, as in Futurama? Isn't he the ideal of a lazy boozing sleaze? I'll pass!

I read the comics, watch G1, collect the toys, and loved the movie enough to drag loved ones to it five times. Plus they are forced to listen to my endless drivel of how great Transformers is.
I'm a girly girl and a mother, and happily married. Do I think TF is aimed at guys? For the most part, yes. But I do enjoy Transformers immensely, for the exact same reasons as men. I think the stories are incredible, and enjoyable for anyone who's inclined to liking giant robots. I don't like it when the powers that be decide to pander to women, and come up with subpar female characters that have no real substance, which just patronizes us...well, me, anyway. I like TF just the way it is, whether it's a guy thing or a girl thing, it doesn't matter.
But if a girl comes along and thinks Starscream is sexy, well that is her thing and she can do what she wants with that. What matters is the fandom is alive and well, no matter what the populace.
