Galvatron II has admitted that he came back to the past before the "creation" of purple Galvatron where he became Trypticon's city commander and is "destroyed".
So he again comes back whole?
Thanks to this comic's explantion, Galvatron II's JG1 timeline is now as follows:
First, he arrives in the JG1 universe after the events of G-2. In response to his arrival, Ultra Magnus gets revived as Laser Ultra Magnus. But when Laser Ultra Magnus is nearly killed by Galvatron II, Optimus adopts his new "Black Body" (the black Hybrid Style toy) to stop Galvatron II from killing Magnus.
Then the events of the two e-HOBBY Masterpiece comics (the ones for MP-1B Convoy black Version and MP-3G Starscream Ghost Version) occur, in which Galvatron II firmly becomes the new Decepticon leader, with Megatron working under him.
Then come the retcons given by this comic. After the events of the two e-HOBBY comics, Galvatron II (somehow) traveled back in time to before the first Galvatron was created, so as to establish himself as a the "first" Galvatron to appear in the timeline since, according to this new comic, he disliked being called "Galvatron II" by those who wanted to differentiate him from the previous Galvatron who was born in this JG1 universe.
The point he travels back in time to is the late 1980s, after the events of G1 seasons 1-2 but before Scramble City. This point in time is when the original Japanese Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers story pages take place, in which there had appeared a Galvatron who was a separate individual from Megatron and colored more like the original G1 Galvatron toy's colors. At the time these story pages were published, the third season of the G1 cartoon had not come out in Japan yet, so the revelation of Galvatron being Megatron hadn't come to Japan just yet. Thus, these story pages were advertising the new Galvatron toy by depicting Galvatron as a different guy from Megatron.
But now, thanks to this comic, we now can say that the toy-colored Galvatron from these story pages is actually the very same Galvatron II from the future, having time-traveled back to the latter 1980s.
What's more is that this comic also now reveals what happened to the Galvatron from the story pages after he was defeated by Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. During Galvatron II's time in the 1980s serving under Megatron, Galvatron II was made the City Commander of Dinasaurer, the original version of Dinosaurer (Trypticon) who appeared in Scramble City with a different character model from the third season of the G1 cartoon.
Anyway, Galvatron II was then destroyed in an offscreen battle with Metroplex. But because he still had the Creation Matrix that he stole from the Rodimus Prime of Galvatron II's original timeline, he used the Matrix to keep his soul alive in the form of a ghost. He apparently then remained in the JG1 universe from that point on, hanging around in it all the way up till 2021, when he made his way to the resting place of the Cartoon Galvatron in the Arctic, tricked Cyclonus into thinking that Galvatron II was Galvatron I, tricked Cyclonus into letting Galvatron II's ghost possess him, and then used Cyclonus to go to Unicron and make a deal with him to get a new body: Grand Galvatron.
And now, with this new comic, Galvatron II attempts to possess Megaempress, but Gran Scourge tries to kill him because Galvatron II has a Matrix, and Matrix Bearers are what Grand Scourges lives to kill off. Then Megaempress shoves both Grand Scourge and Galvatron II's ghost off of Cybertron and into a rift in space-time, leading to parts unknown.
Phew!
