Just wondering, if anyone here collects battle beasts and if they could answer a questions. Funnily enough, I couldn't find this answer anywhere out there.
It concerns the rub signs and if those are random or not. Like, if for example, you have your lion guy, does he always have the same rub sign? Like, he's always fire, or is it random? He could have any of the 3?

Could be any of the three. That was kind of the point in that there was a game mechanic to it all.

The Wood, Fire and Water ones were indeed random. However, in Japan, the line was integrated into the Transformers Mythos (in The Headmasters to be exact) and as such, the Battle Beasts were either Cybertron (Autobot) or Destron (Decepticon). Those two were not random, a Beast's allegiance was set in stone.

It doesn't pay to be a Battle Beast completest. That's why generally, I just try to get1 of each, unless it's an army builder(via multiples being featured in "Rebellion on Planet Beast").

Especially considering you have to have room for like 336 Battle Beasts (76 originals, plus the 56 Laser Beasts, and that times 3) plus the 76 Japanese ones with either
