It's a new mold, so, even if it uses the same colors as the Earthrise-molded Coronation version, it's still sculpted to look closer to the animation model.Tyrannacon wrote:Is the paint job for MTME Studio Starscream supposed to be more accurate or match the animation model more? I did see some comparison photos between it and Coronation Starscream and was curious as they looked different no different in terms of the mold. Unless the differences are just too subtle for me.

Nope, 6:00AM CST
I may have gotten one of the last ones as it was sold out again shortly afterward.

I found him back in stock on Pulse a few weeks ago with mine due to arrive Wednesday, so I won't be ordering from Target, but for anyone else who missed out you may want to check again.

A reason? Ummm...Sabrblade wrote:Shattered Glass Ramhorn, for some reason.
Rewind caused a minor temporal paradox in Forever Is A Long Time Coming that randomly pulled cassettes from 2 parallel universes into Sunbow's timeline?
Awesome as this is, seeing Ramhorn that blue just makes me need updated Cobalt Sentries even more!

After comparing the images of both, if anything just the internals, all the visible parts are new.

Yeah, but, now it's one villain in a set of heroes.Rodimus Prime wrote:We already got regular Ramhorn with Perceptor and Ratbat.Sabrblade wrote:Shattered Glass Ramhorn, for some reason.
And the set is meant to be a reference to an early script draft of Transformers The Movie, in which Cubbie, Stripes, Stinger, and Bolts all feature, but not Ramhorn (or Rewind). Shattered Glass didn't exist back in 1984 when the script was first drafted.
They could have used some other cassette besides the Ramhorn mold, or done a silver-weapons variant since the one in the set with Perceptor and Ratbst had the gold weapons, as Ramhorn's original toy came in gold and silver weapon variants.

I was wondering since it looks like it's able to hold the weapons normally, by pegging them into the fists.

Is that official or just your speculation? And the set is meant to be a reference to an early script draft of Transformers The Movie, in which Cubbie, Stripes, Stinger, and Bolts all feature, but not Ramhorn (or Rewind).
What other cassettes does Blaster have? I didn't know he had Cubbie or Stinger. They could have used some other cassette besides the Ramhorn mold, or done a silver-weapons variant since the one in the set with Perceptor and Ratbst had the gold weapons, as Ramhorn's original toy came in gold and silver weapon variants.

INSIDE CROWS NEST
as Blaster and Perceptor see Rumble and others and react. Blaster stops broadcasting
We got Cassette Critters knockin' on the window:
ON RUMBLE
as he CRACKS THROUGH GLASS and he and others swarm in and attack Perceptor who tries to beat them away
Flee, Blaster! I'll hold them off!
No way. Two can play:
ON BLASTER
as he spews out CASSETTES which TRANSFORM into CUBBIE, a lion, STRIPES, a tiger, STINGER, a scorpion and BOLTS, a small, tough robot.
Sic 'em!
ON RUMBLE
as Cubbie takes him down by the foot, turning him over and over
ON STRIPES
as he SNAPS at Ratbat which screams and darts, trying to escape as we move to
STINGER AND BOLTS
as Bolts swats Frenzy into Stinger who JABS STINGER into Frenzy making him yowl and flee
ON BLASTER AND PERCEPTOR
as they start off amid cassette creature battle
Don't know if I got through, but we better hope I did
Eject, for one, giving those who missed out on the limited Target exclusive SS86 Blaster a second chance at an opaque Eject, since the Rewind in this set is meant to give people an opaque version of him.Rodimus Prime wrote:What other cassettes does Blaster have? -Flip Sides (white and purple Rosanna, she's a Con sleeper agent though)
-Blackcat (green Ravage)
-actual cassette versions of the Slamdance combiner as opposed to the Siege Flywheels repaint
-2 originally-Japan-exclusive teams of dino cassettes that combine like Slamdance
-technically Playback (a unnamed G1 cartoon nobody that got retconned into a cassette and later referenced in Shattered Glass)
-While checking TFWiki for the Japanese combiners and Playback I also saw they count Blockrock from Blaster's Universe figure, but I highly doubt we'll get a new Blockrock anytime soon since he'd just be Laserbeak but red and black instead of black and red
Soundwave is currently missing:
-Garboil (blue Laserbeak)
-Howlback (blue Ravage)
-Enemy (red and blue Frumble)
-the Squawkbox combiner
-Overkill
-Slugfest
-a version of Wingthing with the backpack thrusters from the Studio Series Ratbat/Ramhorn/Perceptor set (I doubt we'll see this)
-that scooter thing Soundwave shot out randomly in like 1 G1 episode
...I really like cassette repaints.
