I did play Galactic Trials and put it down after a couple hours. I have plenty of patience for mid Transformers games (see: went through Battlegrounds and Earthspark Expedition) but GT was bad bad, imo. The primary issue with that game was trying to shoehorn in the combat sections mid-race. It didn't feel integrated, it was like race, stop to run and shoot, then race more. Really uncreative implementation. Iterating on the concept to make the transforming be something that either supplemented the actual racing part or was used for weapons/power-ups would be much smoother.
