I hate the leg transformation on him though. It took forever to get his legs bent and lined up just right. Annoying. After transforming him once,he will be staying in bot mode forever.
The he come with a lot of stuff! Offshoot is a cool idea, but because of the peg that fits into Rodimus' hand, Offshoot is always pointing up. The two pistols won't stay together long enough to form the rifle. They just fall apart. The inclusion of two matrixes (sp?) Was nice though. I kept the saw blade and the welder in the package.
Overall I am glad I picked him up. He looks great next to Prime on my MP shelf. I wish the accessories work a little better and the transforation was smoother. However, he is going to sit on the shelf as a display only, so those flaws are easily overlooked.

I watched a video review (it was posted yesterday or the day before on the news feed) and they fixed the hinge on the leg panels, which is a much nicer fix than what on my first run TakaraTomy Rodimus. (Which I still haven't had a problem with...)
The backpack still unpegs. The reviewer had to fix it at least once, but I think it was twice.
They did fix the visor so it stays up, in fact, he had a hell of a time deploying it.
The backpack tabs that fasten to the legs in Hot Rod's car mode are still thin and flimsy. So, it's a mixed bag on those fixes.

You have to angle the ankle bar (where the foot connects to the leg) just right. Bow it inwards toward the middle of the car, to make clearance for the arms.
Just a millimeter off will throw it out of whack.
If you look closely, the feet have a nesting place. Get them lined up with it perfectly, then use a fingertip and push inward on that ankle bar. It'll make one click and it'll be in the right position.
Angle the hands and fingers as shown in the instructions and the arms should close up just fine.

Thanx will try that.

The backpack pegs into place and stays much better than the first Takara one. He can hold both weapons well although I can't get him to hold onto Offshoot solidly. One of leg panels keep popping off during transformation. All in all pretty good!
Big negative...without the trailer there is nowhere to store the hand accessories. Still a solid figure and worthy of the Masterpiece name.
