Me and X are currently in negotiations to take our comedy skit on tour. We'll be touring several fans conventions this summer and fall. If the UK is willing to pay for our airfare and hotel stay, we might attend that UK Assembly.
negotiations are almost wrapped up to go on tour. Currently me and X are fighting over who gets top billing. Plan to bring my measuring tape, While X plans to bring a box full of Alpha Bravo's. Plan to discuss or fight about toy scale, cartoon scale, MP or CHUG scale.
Hasbro had plans to sponsor the tour but they pulled out at the last minute. When Hasbro found out the things X, Had planned to do with his box of Alpha Bravo toys in his comedy sketches.

Ironhidensh wrote:worrying about the scale of transformer toys that you are collecting, it's kind a like worrying about the size of boobs at an orgy. It makes no sense.

Yeah he kind of lost me with that comment...
The biggest arguement with that anology is that what you get at an orgy is free and transformers cost money.

Don't think the average fan that looks like this is getting any free orgies.

First you would have to define a "nerd" to see if I even fit the catagory....
Glasses ? Nope 20/20 vision here...
Overweight ? I weigh in at 145 standing 5 foot 9
Buck teeth ? Nope, sorry. Had braces at age 15, Im 38 now.
Into school/college life ? Nope. High school diploma here. And if I had skipped class more, I probably wouldnt even have that.
Socially awkward ? Nope. I enjoy a good conversation. If you ask me a question, Ill answer it. I wont tell you to "google it".
No sex life ? Not the case here. I would describe my sex life as "decent". For a guy who is anti-marriage and doesn't want kids, I do better than most.
Dress Code ? Down south hip hop. I dont dress like a lot of the guys that go to Botcons. Ive been to 4 Botcons and often get dirty looks for not fitting in with the crowd. I made some friends though because not everybody was like that.
Read comic books ? Not really. Let it be known I hate reading. Ive tried, its just not me. Also, I hate super heroes and other spandex wearing characters.
Do I love Transformers ? F**K YEAH !!! I grew up with them as a kid. Collecting has kept me out of trouble and kind of relieves my stress. Transformers are just cool. We can all agree on that.
Am I a nerd ? I dunno, you tell me ? If were talking common stereotypes, I probably dont fit the bill. But if loving transformers and fan forums makes me a nerd by default, then it is what it is...
Wow. Well saidCounterpunch wrote:I don't think being a "nerd" has anything to do with those stereotypes.
It has more to do with a singular interest with a non-standard degree of knowledge in that particular interest that would more than likely overwhelm another person in regular conversation.
The behavior, dress type, "degree of coolness", etc...none of that matters. You could be a stay at home mom who loves/obsesses over Game of Thrones...nerd. You could be a union steel worker who meticulously grows orchids...nerd.
It's just a stupid word that people use to describe others who are truly invested in their hobby and no longer give a **** what others think about it.

Never heard of this dress code before.
Can you please post a pic of yourself wearing these clothes in this thread.
