You all can bitch all you want but I think he's fantastic! I don't even mind the gimpy arm because the whole scrapyard look really works...Especially in contrast with the ginormous badass right arm...Love his scream too!

He seems to be quite unwieldy, and that dinky left arm looks quite out of place.
With the single, long, pointy, finger claw

I think I will pass on this guy.

Is Hugo Weaving not reprising his role as Megatron for this movie? That sound clip sounded nothing like Weaving.

A very disappointing figure if you ask me.

I don't particularly mind the gimp arm.

What does bother me is how stiff and inarticulate his other arm and whole upper torso looks. It's almost like he's a hunchback.

The tank mode especially bothers me. It's so bad.

I dunno, I was looking at some pics today, and I even think the old movie Megatron looks better...(is that premium Megatron?)

The ROTF Megs is one I am definitely in no hurry to pick up.

I had a feeling that posting this would garner mixed feelings

Personally I like it... the little arm and hunched back-ness dont really bother me.. the giant black shoulder kinda stands out abit... but when I eventually pick one up I can always give it a lick of paint if it bothers me that much in person.

I'm not entirely sure how to report this as news.. but if a Mod or someone wants to get it reported be my guest

I actually thought the same thing. And I hated the first movie Megs, Never bought the origional or the Premium version featured in the pictures.

And from the looks of the new one it seems that trend will continue for the new movie.

Isn't he supposed to be peeking his head out in tank mode? Not face down, and it doesn't look like he can look up. I actually liked that about this design.

Think I'll probably take my chances and wait for a 50% off clearence for this one...if I miss out, oh well.

Why do all the Megatron figs of late have either simple and/or crappy transformations, though? Is it to make up for the (awesome) MP version? Too many complained about him being too hard so from here on out they just lack creativity or what?

My theory is Megatron never sells as well as Optimus, therefore Hasbro reckon they can put that extra effort into a new Prime figure, but can't justify devoting the same resources to Megatron's development.

Of course there's reasons why. I didn't buy classics Megatron because he looked like a nerf gun. I skipped voyager Movie Megatron because of the stupid ice wings. I waited for leader Movie Megatron to be dropped to half price because it just didn't look good.

There's a vast gulf in the quality difference between this Megatron and the new leader Prime. This one looks like they gave the job to the FAB design team.

Classics/Henkei Megs actually has a pretty decent transformation...but that's probably only because he came out before MP Megs. :lol:

Seconded. I saw Classics Megatron in Woolworths.. infinate pass.. as soon as I saw Henkei Megatron.. I ordered him

Man me too... I was so "meh" about the first one...The regular paint was awful and the premium looked OKAY but not much more...

This one has me all kinds of excited...And I LOVE the tank mode...SO much more interesting than the jet...
